I thought Murray was for sure gonna die a hero's death with the flamethrower based on the trailer. Glad he didn't. Murray is awesome.
Sucks we only got one season of Eddie. The actor nailed making that character likable.

So, what have the real-life actor couple of Nancy and Jon been doing the last couple years? They both look crazy thin and aged to all hell.

I agree. While I am always critical of any kind of social issues (especially since I disagree with homosexual lifestyle) used as an undercurrent in shows, this was really benign and not worth discussing.
Will's issues are kind of undiscussed and the girls is just plot fodder. It keeps both their characters engaged in the story when really their purpose is just vectors for situations along the plot.
I watched a guy who does vids on screen writing and they stated if you have a character that's in X amount of scenes, without something to move that character arc forward by seasons end, its a writing disaster.
The characters aren't what I would call central or primary characters. If they omitted anything about them, we'd be discussing Will's useless autistic acting and whatever her name usefulness.
They're bit players but it rounds out their character a bit and explains why they're kind of like they are. I didn't find either to be banging us over the head, much less discussing.

Seriously. In that period in time any store like that would have had a barrel of SKS's cheaper than that shotgun.
Your whole post was stupid, But this is the only part that I thought warranted a response.
No. This season took place May-June 1986. Still very much in the Cold War (hence the Russian bad guys). The US only started receiving SKS imports in late ‘88 and they weren’t plentiful and cheap with available ammo until well into the 90s.
There might have been some K98s or Arisakas in barrels but bolt actions make for bad television. There were no SKS’s

As someone who canceled Disney+ over them being a bunch of Groomers and hate LGBTQXYZ being pushed on everyone in all society.
Quit bitching about it in Stranger Things. It’s barely even outwardly or explicitly expressed and is isolated to a few moments here and there.
Sure they are still checking the box for diversity because it’s Netflix. But that’s just the world we live in. I don’t love it either but I’m not going to let a handful of scenes with less than 10 minutes of run time ruin a series with dozens upon of dozens of excellent hours.

Yeah, I figured it was something I wouldn't give a frick about. Just making sure.

Two things:
1. The Master of Puppets scene is awesome. Probably my favorite scene of the whole season.
2. Nancy is scary thin. They were trying their best to hide it but it was obvious.
Cannot wait for the final season.

Very good watch. So glad they came around and put in the effort.

Finished it last night. Very well done and I will have to do a rewatch. Like most have said, I love the Eddie character and hated to see him go. There were plenty of other characters that I had rather see go….
Was I the only one that caught the end when the Upsidedown ‘snow’ is killing everything? 11 is standing out front on her own. Behind her are three couples: Joyce and Hopper, Jonathan and Nancy, and then Will and Mike. Am I reading too much into it?

Nope.
I rewound the scene and pointed it out to the wife last night.

Season was garbage.
Show has run it's course.
At this point it's ripping off 80s horror unshamelessly.
Trash

Is there any way the ‘actors’ who play Will and Mike can be replaced for the final season?
I get that they don’t want to kill off the characters, but they’ve got to get actual actors to take over those roles.
It’s getting embarrassing.

I mean...the Duffer brothers described the show as being like this all the way back when the first season premiered. They said that it was a "shameless love letter to the 80s." Every season has been inspired by horror and science fiction from that era.

With the supposed time jump we’re getting I wonder if that’s the last we will see of Hawkins. I’d imagine the town would be a total hell scape soon

I don’t mind Mike as much as I do Will. It’s weird because I thought they were both great in seasons 1/2. Reminds me of the Harry Potter actors who also got worse as they aged.

Just finished. My thoughts
You’re right, Will is awful. So cringe.
Nancy needs to see an ED therapist. I’ve had it and can tell when someone else does. The fact that she was firing off a sawed off shotgun at 85 lbs was laughable.
I loved the season but can someone answer this. I may have missed it but what more can they do to kill vector? Why won’t he die? Thought for sure he was dead

Will and max, and possibly nancy are going to have to die to completely remove him, imo
Pure speculation

I didn’t get how for all the entirety of the series, heat and fire were the weakness of everything from the upside down. Mind flayer, demogorgans, demodogs, the vines, Will when he was possessed by the mind flayer. So how was Vecna apparently so resistant to his entire body being ablaze?
