Robin was kinda hot in S3, and for some reason they decided to make her super drab and ugly her up in S4. Weird.

Why? The character is annoying as frick, non stop jabbering and the lesbian angle seems like it’s just there to check a box and so they don’t have to get her and Steve together but it’s non stop jabbering that gets on my nerves.

I think they dedicated too much time to the character reveal for him to just be some advanced mind flayer lackey. That last 15 minutes definitely felt like a reveal of the series ultimate villain. If he’s just killed off in two episodes and they move on, it will seem way less important.

Why does it have to only exist to check a box? Like the writers just can’t write a character gay without it being a conspiracy
Also Robin has been one my recent favorites, her giving Steve shite all last season was great

Really liked this half of the season. Not quite as good as Season 1 but it’s an easy #2 for me. I thought the tie in of 001 as Vecna was great. And really sets up a good 011 showdown (that has meaning behind it).
People like to shite on the kid’s acting, but outside of Will and Mike I think they’ve done well enough. Max was fantastic. I also like Eddie and Argyll as new editions to the cast. They fit right in IMO. Argyll was easily the best part of the California scenes (sans El hitting that snotty bitch with a skate).

I think her name is Mya Hawke, and of course her mother is Uma Thurman and Ethan Hawke. She behaves a lot like her mind and rambles like her too, reminds me of the restaurant scene with Travolta in Pulp Fiction.

I like Argyle. I first saw that actor in some weedhead movie and thought, yep, this guy is going to be typecast as a weadhead for the rest of his life

Honestly, I think part of the reason for this is that Millie (El), Sadie (Max), Caleb (Lucas) and Gatan (Dustin) actually want futures in acting and have worked on it, been in other stuff. Finn (Mike) is more into music. I wouldn’t be surprised if both Finn and Noah (Will) don’t act again after the show

The girl who plays Max’s acting seemed a level above anyone else she was on screen with.
As much as I thought they did a good job with the Vecna storyline, I think I prefer the ultimate villain to be a monster with no human in it. Just seems more fun to me.
I also thought they should have given like one minute to showing how Vecna was growing stronger in the upside down while everything else went down in seasons 1-3. Maybe I missed that, but I was just wondering where he was post-breakout.

My biggest “complaint” were the non-Hawkins storylines. The Hopper/Joyce stuff felt so secondary to everything else. The Mike/Will stuff was just strange. Felt like they could have had Will/Eleven go to Hawkins for spring break, remove eleven the same way, and at least had all the kids in Hawkins. The Utah detour felt like it could’ve been a phone call or Dustin via radio.

Agreed except for the Joyce/Hopper storyline. I’ve seen critics really nail that as a critique but I’ve enjoyed it. The only parts I haven’t have been Mike/Will/Jonathan. If Argyle is the most interesting in your storyline, there’s a big problem
