The actress who portrayed adult Kirsten is kind of wooden at times, but it actually kind of worked with the shite she went through. I was so happy to see Jeavan return and see Kirsten again. He was such a great character that you just sympathized with almost every step of the way, even when he seemed cruel.

I really liked that she was wooden though. It gave her an element of intrigue/power. Kirsten and Tyler shared a lot of similarities an circumstances. "To the monsters we're the monsters".

Wouldn't it makes sense that Jeevan would have caught the flu when he got all up in Arthurs dead face?

He died of a heart attack. Also, they never fully explain how the flu works and if some people are just naturally immune.

It was an ugly cry moment for my wife. I felt like crying with her.

It ended on a hopeful, happy note and I'm glad for that. But I half expected a "Shakespearean" tragedy to sour the ending and that didn't happen.

Great show. HBO just continues to offer the best content of any streaming provider and they've done it since the Sopranos.

I figured that's what they thought since the flu wasn't known at the time

I vaguely recall something saying it had a 99.9% mortality rate or something like that. idk if that means some people were naturally immune or were just able to survive if infected.

They don't technically explain it but it seems it's super airborne that even the author of station 11 died after sealing up her room vents and windows.

Miranda was walking around for a few days after it was already spreading. She also gave up hope and figured she would rather not die alone and went and hung with Jim or whatever his name was.

She showed no symptoms until she called the Gichigummee

Correct, 1 out of every 1,000 people survived.

What a unique, fantastic show. They really woven in a ton of threads that would be difficult for any writer to deliver. The ending was magnificent and everything with young Kiersten and Jeevin was fantastic. Absolutely loved this show and the actors/acting was truly superb. Going to recommend to my close friends.

aren’t sure about it and then each episode sucks you in more and at the end you realize it’s a masterpiece

I just finished it last night, and I am 100% in agreement with this. The first episode or two, I was slogging through it and I was thinking of bailing. I stuck with it, every episode kept getting better and better, and after the airport episode I couldn't wait to watch the next one. The last few episodes were absolute emotional rollercoasters.

This show was absolutely incredible and I did not want it to end, but they did a great job of finishing the story. Probably the best written and acted show I've seen since True Detective first season.

Also:

Actress who played young Kierstin has a bright future ahead of her (as long as she doesn't go down the child actor wormhole).

Yea she was good. And for some reason, I'm really into the girl who plays older Kirsten (Mackenzie Davis). When I started the show I thought she kind of had that dirty hippie girl vibe. By the end of the show I thought she was gorgeous. Not an OT 10 but definitely wouldn't kick her out of bed.

You should watch the series Halt and Catch Fire.

I didn't read the book but after seeing the differences from the show I can't imagine enjoying it now. It may be good but the heart and soul of the show, Kirsten and Jeevan relationship isn't there.

It got better as it went along for me as well. I just finished it, and then immediately started over from the beginning. Being unfamiliar with all of the characters at first, I missed a lot, and I'm enjoying the early episodes much more now that I know who everyone is.

The ending of Episode 9 may be the best 6 minutes in television history.
