Betty was a smokeshow until her character became insufferable. I never looked at her as hot anymore..just a miserable c***
Jane and Bethany were the prettiest on the show.

It might be top 20 for me, but it’s definitely not top 5. The show is a great ride, but it doesn’t have much pay off, imo.

His character is so good. has some of the best lines in the show. Like when they convince Joan to sleep with the car guy so they can get the account. She says she isn't a prostitute and Pete goes, "We arent talking about selling yourself. we are talking about business at a VERY high level"
I wish i had the balls to say that in real life ha ha.

Joan was confusing in that she didn't want to be prostituted by the company, but she would troll for ugly wealthy men for what seemed like sport. I understand the difference, but I can see Pete rationalizing it in his mind, fairly easily.

Pete really grew on me during a rewatch. He’s got the best arc of the characters and Vincent Kartheiser plays him perfectly.

The finale was only appreciated for me on rewatch. Especially the therapy session. That was an incredible scene. But watching it the night it aired I thought who the frick is this guy? Why are we talking about a dream in a refrigerator? The show only had about 15 mins left and only Pete was wrapped up. Took the rewatch to realize how great the scene was and how the character (Dwight or Lloyd?) expresses what many men feel. Even fricked up Don.

That scene is great, Layne calls Pete a grimy pimp and warns Pete once he raises his fists it will be too late to back out. To which Pete replies “you want to take your teeth out, old man? Or you want me to knock them out?”

I changed my mind about him the first watch around the time of, "not great, Bob!"
But yeah, I really couldn't stand him. Then on rewatch I liked him even earlier. He was a little turd, but he was a great character who grew on you quick. Second watch really made me realize how much of a PoS Don was and how much i overlooked because who honestly wouldn't want to have Don's life in those days ar least for a minute. The finale was a great arc though. You root for him the first time. It's like The Sopranos, you want Tony to win. After a while, he's too much of an a-hole to root for.
Mad Men is such a great show. I may have to do a rewatch soon. Did Sopranos not that long ago.

I disagree. I'm not rooting for any of the characters in either of those shows. They're all trash or unlikeable. I'm just watching to see what happens.

Pete has a ton of lines that you gloss over the first time through because he's a supporting character, but if you pay attention his character is just flawless
Example: when he and Don go to California, and Don runs into these weirdo swinger people. Pete walks up and the man introduces himself as Viscount Monteforte. Without missing a beat Pete name drops and introduces himself as Peter Dyckman Campbell

Honestly, Pete might be my favorite character. He gets better each viewing.
