I'm not saying I won't (though I've missed Solo so far without suffering any withdrawal symptoms)

I won't be seeing it opening weekend though and I will be reading the spoiler thread here and on wikipedia before I make that decision. I'm not 12 anymore so I won't go to watch trash just because it's there.

Solo was actually decent.

The stand alones are head and shoulders over the 2 new Skywalker saga films

TFA while not great set up this trilogy perfectly and it was a great movie theater experience.

TLJ ruined it all and set up absolutely nothing for TROS

Yet even after reading the leaks and smh I will still go see it simply because it’s the last one of the Skywalker storyline.

At least until Disney decides that’s not actually the case.

You had this mysterious Snoke character that Kylo was going to train with and you end the movie with our first glimpse of Luke. I mean it wasn’t bad

Just watched the trailer, so much for the “kill the past” thing they were going for in episode 8

I’ll go see this but it’ll be the equivalent of watching a NASCAR race just to see the wrecks.

Yes, it was

No other star wars movie has come close to grossing $900 million LINK and its audience score on RT blows the prequels and TLJ out of the water. LINK

People enjoyed it

I was the same way for a long time. A few months back I got bored and bit the bullet. It was actually a good movie. It’s a shame episode 8 was such a steaming pile and left a bad taste in everyone’s mouth.

Are you arguing that TFA is better than the original trilogy?

I watched Solo on Netflix. I’ll probably watch this one on Disney+ depending on if I like the spoilers. If it’s like the reddit leaks, I’ll pass on theaters.

Without giving specifics, if the leaks are true, that’s a lot of lazy storytelling.

Have not paid to watch a SW movie in a theater since ROTS.

TFA = sort of ok.

TLJ = fricking garbage. Pure trash.

Solo = not bad. I expected nothing, so it was okay.

Rogue One = I liked.

TRS .... will wait until it shows up on HBO, Prime, Netflix, whatever...and then maybe I will watch.
