2 questions for those who have seen it

1. Did you like force awakens?
2. Did you like this better?

1. Yes
2. Yes, because there's still a lot of ground to cover in the Rebellion/Resistance vs Galactic Empire/First Order story.

I liked Force Awakens especially when compared to the prequels. This one is far, far worse. Some unexpected plot twists and it’s got some laughs plus is visually stunning; but, generally underwhelming and largely disjointed. Trying to find a single scene that will become iconic in the series and sadly there just isn’t one. The whole thing adds no real value to the series and kinda leaves you wondering where the frick does it go from here?

See, I don't think that's true at all. There's a responsibility to transition between generations, and we're lucky they didn't get that out of their system in TFA.

Best SW movie of all time. One of the best movies I have ever seen in my life. Wow, what a ride!

Was fricking legit awesome. I walked out thinking that was the best damn Star Wars movie I’ve ever seen. It’s easy to say that with hype, and I will have to give it Time to process to know where it really ranks, but it was damn good. Much better than Force Awakens (which I also enjoyed), but not to this level).

I don’t know what the hell complaints people have m, haha

Second time one of you has said this. Is it because it's just too good to wait much longer, or does something happen that if spoiled will ruin the movie experience? If it's the later, I'll stay off the internet for the next 24 hours.

Just got out.

I'm surprised to say this...

But

...I didn't like it.

Felt I was watching a Star Wars parody.

I groaned aloud many times at the attempts at humor.

I can't see how anyone would ever want to re-watch this.

Just got out. Overall I think it was a really great movie, but I can see how it will be polarizing for some. Rian Johnson did take a lot of risks, but you have to in the second movie of a trilogy.

It did a great job changing the direction of the story, and I’ll be really interested to see where it goes from here.

To keep it brief from the Spoiler thread, Luke, Rey, and Kylo are great in it. The B-Plot is RotJ bad and I want a cut of this movie where it is removed. Just 40 minutes of pointless bullshite with whiplash effect comparable to the gargoyles in the Hunchback of Notre Dame. But everything in the A-Plot was great.

Not sure where I’d rank it yet, given how much I was taken aback by how awful some of the bad parts are in comparison to the good.

Yeah I mean I'm seeing things all over the place

I'm seeing people who loved it, who just liked it

To people who thought it was meh to thinking it was a fricking parody? I mean wtf?

Definitely better than TFA, but I think TFA does get better after multiple watching. I feel the people will come to realize that with this movie as well.

I think people can live with that. Some of the comments make it seem like the B-plot was AOTC bad which is what I was worried about.

I was more ecstatic coming out of TFA than this. I’m honestly not sure. TFA was more consistent than this, that’s for sure.
