I saw the directors of Everything Everywhere All at Once are going to destroy their career momentum by directing episodes of Star Wars: Skeleton Crew, whatever that is.

Skeleton Crew is under the Favreau and Filoni umbrella.

I don't think anyone but maybe Robert Rodriguez has hurt their career with those shows.

Lindelof and Britt-Gibson turned in a draft of the script in mid-February and parted ways with the project just days later
I am guessing KK shot it down for lack of Transgenda.

Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy
Y'all are being way too hard on her.

She is a women's activist in a "holy hell, what the frick Pakistan??? Honor killings in 2023" kind of way

Almost all her movies are about that kind of stuff.

And she did a couple episodes of Ms Marvel, which all involved Pakistan. . .so that was perfect. And the episodes she directed were solid.

It's truly impressive how much of a disaster Disney's Star Wars has been.

At this point, I wish some Korean film studio could buy the rights to SW. They're putting out way better and more original content than the US major studios.

What refreshing topic, haven’t seen that covered in any Fantasy SiFi or comic movies before

You don't seriously believe those "names" come in and "direct"* anything in these universes, do you? They're directed by the same core group of folks, which is why they're so consistently bland or worse. The name is just for PR and they take the job to bolster their filmography and an easy paycheck.

(*Outside of the obvious, like Gunn, Waititi, etc.)

They're going to do a couple weeks of work on tv, nerd out with Filoni, and that will destroy their careers? Even though they just signed a 5 year deal, very similar to the one Jordan Peele got, at Universal?

Star Wars is basically a dead IP at this point. The sequels were so creatively bankrupt they can’t do anything in that era. The new actors don’t want to do any more Star Wars either so they can’t continue those stories either. And Disney clearly doesn’t have the balls to bet hundreds of millions on more prequel movies. They are screwed
The sheer insanity of the sequel trilogy has been amazing.

If they had only done the D+ series and the Star Wars Tales movies (Rogue One, Solo), everyone would be in love with them. Andor fills in the OT timeline with some much-needed maturity (it did political drama far better than Lucas' prequels), and The Mandalorian- without the sequel movies in the way- would start laying out the progression afterwards, with some new perspectives that still fall in line with what fans want.

The problem is, they completely fricked the story with those sequels. Nobody wants to see things progress to that level of disaster, so the further we move towards that, the more the plots will be hated.

I thought she was just a MMA fighter turned actress?

Since they fired Gina they needed to fill the MMA female quota again

That “chick” test’d out built like a shite brick house new republic rehab officer or whatever. You could tell they have had that TOPS surgery which is essentially a double massectomy… which insurance covered meanwhile women with actual breast cancer are on waitlists and can’t afford life saving surgery

There has been a disturbance in the force, as screenwriters Damon Lindelof and Justin Britt-Gibson have exited the Star Wars project

What kind of fricked up shite does Kathleen Kennedy know that makes her untouchable? Nearly every project Disney Star Wars undertakes has issues. She should have been ousted years ago.
