It seems like they have taken a much different direction with him, compared to how he was setup in TFA. Nothing about the Knights of Ren in TLJ

Did they ever explain how they were tracking them through warp?
And if they could, why would they only bother tracking them via the lead ship?

Yea, where the frick did they go? They were there to help destroy the temple. The story of what happened between them didn't make any sense in this one compared to what was shown in TFA.

Reasons
ALTHOUGH hyperspace tracking was mentioned in R1 to set this up as a thing.

Limits to how many ships you could track I would guess. That isn't really much of an issue.

Rose mumbled through some theoretical bullshite about some equipment they were using. THey didn't explain it very well.

So it's been around for 30ish years and they are still surprised by it?

Didn’t say it made it better

Did Fisher die during filming or post production?
Will there be a new Leia?
I guess killing off Luke and Leia in the same episode would've caused too many brain aneurysms.

There's actually an Easter egg in Rogue One when they're looking through the empires files. Jyn finds a file called "hyperspace tracking"

Well, Disney has confirmed that she's not in Episode IX.

I thought the point of Kylo’s lightsaber is that he couldn’t figure out how to build one. It was to point out that he was a flawed amateur.
Yeah, a flawed amateur that can stop the laser bullets in mid air and pull thoughts from peoples mind. Two things we have never seen before from any force user.
I'm sure it would have been helpful to Darth Vadar if he could have pulled Leia's thoughts in the A New Hope instead of relying on her to tell them the truth about where the rebel base was.
So Kylo has skills with the force that Darth Vadar never showed. OK, so he's apparently a bad arse. yet he takes too long to defeat Finn in a light saber battle that should have lasted 2 seconds, couldn't defeat a non-trained force user in Rey, twice, and took 5 minutes to defeat the dumb arse non force user red guards after killing Snoke.

Yea I remember that. Didn't make sense to have in that movie. Made even less sense now. I guess they just decided not to use it ever the rest of the time

I’m sure the empire tested it for the last 30 years. Safety first.

Finally saw the move yesterday, and thought I would add my 2 cents. I read through about the first 35 pages of this thread, and then the last five or so. I have a feeling most of my thoughts have already been covered but...
Things I liked:
John Williams proves again that he is a musical genius. Bringing back a large portion of "Ben's Death and TIE Fighter Attack" and using it when Chewie and Rey come to save the day and draw off the fighters. Also, the little snippets of Leia's theme and a portion of "Scherzo for X-Wings" ties all of the movies together.
Seeing A-wings in the initial space battle, and the bombers that looked like they were a modified version of the OT B-wing fighters, was pretty cool.
The Force connection between Luke and Leia showing up while she was in the medical bay, harkens back to his calling out to her at the end of ESB.
Billie Lourd returning as Connix. I loved that she seemed to be filling the role that Leia filled in the evacuation of Hoth. With Carrie gone, I would love to see her take a leadership role in IX just to carry on the family tie there.
I love, love, love watching the Star Destroyers come out of hyperspace. Just having them appear is so cool and menacing no matter how often you see it.
Things I am not sure about yet
Rey's lineage/her Force vision...we saw things in it that don't match up - the ship leaving after she is given to the junk trader, the Knights of Ren with Kylo in his mask - are these just to be forgotten or will they show up in IX?
New Force abilities...We saw Obi Wan sit down in either ESB or ROTJ, so that isn't new. But to physically interact with the living world is - especially being able to burn the tree. This bugged me a bit from TFA - no one else had ever stopped a blaster bolt in mid air, how are all of these new abilities being discovered, especially if Luke cut himself off from the Force.
Things I didn't like
I hated the sub-plot with Finn and Rose. I knew it was too good to be true to have Finn give himself up to save the day, but it would have worked better if Rose had knocked him off course and then flown into the weapon herself to destroy it.
Leia's space flight. That could have been done so much better. It looked so completely out of place.
The comic attempts. Yes, there has always been a few funny one liners in the movies, but these seemed so forced, and right out of the box. Typically the comic relief has either been the rogue scoundrel (Han/Poe) or the human like droid (3P0 or K-2SO). Using Luke for laughs seemed to take away from the gravity of that part of the story.
How many main characters got killed off in this one film? Ackbar, Luke, Phasma (for the first female Stormtrooper and fancy costume, she has hardly any real purpose in either film), and Snoke (with no real explanation of what he was or where he came from). The worst thing here is it feels like Disney is purposely leaving out pieces from the films to help drive sales of the other franchise pieces like novels/comics. In TFA, 3P0 has the throwaway line about his red arm - which you have to read a comic to find out the story (and wasn't it back to normal now?). I am almost expecting a Snoke novel that you have to read if you want to understand him.
Rey returning to the Falcon. She had Chewie drop her off and then had him get away. She got off Snoke's ship via escape pod, but how did Chewie know it was her, or where she was, or when to come back?
The total disregard for basic principles of outer space. Shops turning on a dime without any means of retro thruster. The lack of weightlessness at anytime. No atmospheric interaction when landing on a planet (that really struck me on a TFA rewatch Friday when Finn/Poe should have burned up as the TIE Fighter spiraled into Jakku's atmosphere).
Finally, and this isn't something that anyone could control, I hate that Carrie is gone and won't be able to be featured in IX. Harrison got to be the main old character in TFA, Mark got to be the old guy in TLJ, I hate that Carrie's send off will have to be off screen or done in some other way.

Come on dude. You can’t complain about Star War’s physics. They’ve been breaking the laws of nature since 1977. This is nothing new.

True. But to this extent? "dropping" bombs? Two completely different spaceships, neither of which is "faster" than the other? SuperLeia?

And running out of fuel within a week, when we have modern day ships that don't run out of fuel for fricking years. They treated it like the OJ Simpson car chase. It's ridiculous.
