Cracks me up that we blame D&D for this potential ending when they 100% are getting a stamp of approval from GRRM.
White walkers being recurring threat and Bran being King would be stupid, but no way either happens if it didn't come from GRRM.

I know he said that but I’m skeptical a man who isn’t even close to finishing one book much less the whole series knows exactly how he wants his entire series to end. Apparently he was close to finishing the next book but than didn’t send it in because he wasn’t satisfied. He seems very indecisive.

If there was one person in her inner circled who would go with Jon, it would be Varys who's been trying to put a Targ on the throne from day 1 and biding his time to find the best one available. Well, a better one just became available.
Yeah, of all the criticisms I've seen this season, the Mad Queen one has the least amount of logic. This is something that has bubbled for years and makes plenty of sense.

Yeah that's my point. You can blame D&D for the decisions they made to show some things and not others, but the ultimate end, like who sits on the throne and who kills the NK, are coming from GRRM.

Jon is a good ruler in battle, but ineffectual everywhere else. He's Ned Stark Part 2.
No. Jon is shite for battle tactics. Remember Battle of the Bastards? Not to mention the shite strategy for the Wight army. Jon is a good warrior. He’s a good, no, great leader but he’s not much of a strategist.
Jon makes a good Lord or ruler. He’s a shite commander. That’s the difference between him and Robb. Robb was an excellent strategist and great in the field. Terrible ruler and lord

Jon would make a great ruler. Look at the difference between him and Robb, who threw the war away over a titty nurse. Jon did the exact opposite with Ygritte.

I question anyone's intelligence that didnt know at that exact moment Jon asked them to swear secrecy that Sansa would be the one to let the secret out. It was 100% certain to be her.

Meh. You knew it was getting out when he told them, yeah. My point is that she isn't smart and fricks him over almost on purpose. Keeping the vale a secret could have cost them the north easily. And letting out the truth about Jon could do the same if Dany decides to turn on him. So... good job Sansa.

The context of separate groups arriving in battles at KL is something set in motion by GRRM. It allows certain people to show up early then certain people to show up late. It doesnt really make sense for anyone to show up at different times in reality. Arya is killing Cersei maybe disguised as Jamie. Clegane bowl was certain. it can be a tie because its the only reason they both are still in it. Jon kills Dany as Nisa Nisa. Thats how it will go. None of that would be surprising at all. it fulfills prophesies. The other leads are red herrings.

Raeghar should have said “his is the song of ice... that’s it.”

One way to look at this series ending is its a test run for GRRM books. If fans react super negative to any part he can fix it in the books and at least make those better. In that light, it maybe better if the show ending is terrible. More money for him later.

I can see 5-6 years from now HBO trying to make a GoT sequel set 100 years into the future

alternate ending available in books. Golden parachute if needed.
