Is anyone really going to have their hopes set that high? They're trying to end the show, and they'll do things that dont make sense to do it.
This season is about ending the show, end of story.
The book storyline was dead when there was no more material and when HBO decided this needed to end.

100% understand that but a 3 EP heel turn for Dany is possibly the most retarded way of ending what would have been the greatest series of TV ever made on TV.

Haven’t read any of those other than Jon kills Danny.
But I have read more than one that has Tyrion being tried and executed for treason by Dany.
Makes no sense to his character arc.

Read them...they don't make sense. Jon joins the Night's Watch after killing Dany? The Night's watch doesn't exist anymore... they don't need a night's watch.
