At the end of the film, could Peter be responding the events in the Hawkeye finale? He is swinging over Rockefeller Plaza at Christmas time.

Venom knows Spider-Man identity due to the multiverse hive mind powers that the symbiotes have.

I’m guessing that’s why they made it a focused point in having the symbiote telling Brock about it in the second film.

Possibly, they’re both set in 2024.

I’d flip my shite if that’s how the reboot Tom’s Spidey with making enemies with Kingpin. Tying in Daredevil, Echo, SM, and Kingpin.

Something was clearly going on with Strange and Wong and I think that can be the reason he casts the spell for Peter.

All in all I really liked it. Dragged a tad during the finale video game boss fight but I’ve seen way worse offenders of this and the brought it back when goblin showed up.

Solid effort.

First time in a long time where I've legitimately been excited coming out of a theater. Great fricking movie

Went to the 3:50 showing to a half theater full and walked out to the place absolutely slammed with people going to see it.

It lived up to the hype and then some. Poor Garfield and his shitty Spider-Man that was the butt of all the jokes but made me laugh every single time. I could’ve sat there for an hour watching all 3 of the Spider-Man’s shoot the shite like some good ol boys and telling stories.

Was hoping at the end there would’ve just been a shite show of people leaking into the universe and ending with that but I guess that’s for the next Dr Strange movie. I didn’t feel like staying for his end credit scene but looking forward to what comes next. Ready to see this one again and pickup on what I may have missed.

Also, does no one want to address the What If? version of Strange in the trailer at the end?

I was going to ask if that was the 'What if?' Strange. My 10yo daughter yelled it out before I could ask her.

Andrew Garfield stole his scenes yeah

And I love how Tobey subtly embrace the McGuire memes

I just loved the dialogue between Tobey and Andrew. Andrew was beating himself up in almost every scene and Tobey was very supportive. It was good to see 3 very different takes on Peter Parker and see how they all dealt with their grief.

Wow, what a ride. This could settle in top 5 Marvel for me, maybe top 3. But it made me hate The Last Jedi all the more. You can do something different (Trying to heal and save the bad guys) and still serve the fans with the sentimental tones they want. I had kind of decided Marvels best days were behind them and that might still be true as far as the main story arc but they are still capable of blowing my mind.

I hear ya, especially the parts at the end. I can't imagine the isolation of everyone who was close to you forgetting who you are.

I will say, it allows for Spider-Man movies where they get to pick and choose what comes along. If they feel it's time for a new love interest, boom; if not, they figure out a way to bring her back. The other heroes have no idea who he is, so they'll treat him like an unknown commodity (as opposed to someone who helped save half the universe), or they figure out ways for them to learn/remember.

Just finished watching this a 2nd time. Went in like "been here done that, I'm not gonna cry again." Holy shite was I wrong

May dying didn't hit me hard this time but Peter in front of that screen with J Jonah Jameson broadcasting post May dying was fricking brutal. Tom Hollands range is outrageous.

He deserves an Oscar nomination just as much as Robert Downey Jr. did for Endgame.

With great power comes great responsibility got me when Tobey repeated it back.

Above all, him and MJ at the end

ETA: What made the ending so brutal was that they played Tony's funeral song (or score sorry) as Peter was saying his goodbyes and also at the very end while talking to MJ at the end kind of signifying and bringing an end to Peter as we previously knew him. Man :(

When my son and I were getting out of the car to go in my son said Garfield was a terrible Spider-Man. I told him he was a fully capable Spider-Man stuck in crappy movies. After the movie my son fully agreed. Felt good. It’s not often you can get your teenage son to admit you were right.

But won’t they know Spider-Man? They just won’t know Peter Parker. Everything that Spider-Man has done will we remembered unless I am mistaken.
