Fantastic movie. Exceeded my expectations and my expectations were high. Great conclusion to the homecoming trilogy and brilliant way to reset Holland’s Spidey/Parker as the classic broke nobody just struggling to pay rent and protect the neighborhood. I’m super excited now to see where they take his character.
Some favorite moments:
All of the Spider banter.
Every time they made fun of the Garfield movies. “Max was the sweetest guy until he fell into that vat of electric eels.” “I’m lame compared to you two. I fought a Russian guy in a rhino costume.”
Willem fricking Dafoe.
Garfield saving MJ after failing to save Gwen.
Aunt May getting the Uncle Ben moment.
“He looked like a flying green elf.”
The Tobey death fakeout. “Yeah I’m okay I’ve been stabbed before.”
Holland’s Peter finally getting the shitty Manhattan studio apartment and making his own suit.

Fantastic movie that served up a master-class of fan service.
Wow! All 3 Spideys, all their villains, Dr Strange, Matt Murdoch and countless scenes of homage to the previous Spidey films.
Went to the 11:45pm 3D showing and got in my car at 3 am. Yet it felt like an under-2hr movie.
A lot of people left after the Venom mid-credits scene and missed the post-credits Dr Strange Multiverse of Madness clip.

Half the theater lost its shite when he said that. The other half was wondering what the big deal about that line was

Only Marvel movie I've seen is Ironman, but I have some knowledge of what happened to Tony Stark, his relationship with Parker, etc. Came for Tobey McGuire and Alfred Molina since those movies (the first two, anyway....) were my childhood. Left blown away by Holland, Cumberbatch, and the girl who plays MJ. Now I'm bummed I didn't watch these in order.

Jamie Foxx was low-key great as Electro. Lol'ed when he was upset Andrew wasn't a black Spiderman

Spider-Man: NWO
On second review totally missed that pic was about Tobey & Andrew with the back-popping, thought it referred to the like 9 suplexes that occurred throughout the movie

Eddie Guerrero and Chris Benoit would be proud of those suplexes. Brutal as frick

I think I need a D+ special of all the spideys bantering and telling war stories for like a full hour

Only thing that could make that even better would be bringing deadpool in with them

Most fun I've had in a movie in a long time. Thoroughly satisfied.
Seems they got a little lazy with the spell rules though. Strange says it's pulling in everyone from every universe that knows Peter Parker is Spiderman, but Electro and Venom didn't know that. Heck, Venom didn't even know of Spiderman until he was pulled into the MCU universe in Venom 2.

Also can we acknowledge how great William Dafoe is. The Green Goblin is a role he was born to play.

My brain is still processing the movie and provides little mental updates like every half hour
- Shoutout to the development of Peter's spidey sense in this movie. He's off the charts
- When Electro noticed something powerful about this universe...does that imply/confirm 616 as the prime universe?
- Also when they were asking Tobey about shooting his web fluid was great. The interactions between the 3 Peter's get better every time I think about it
- It was pretty telegraphed from the trailer, but AG catching MJ then processing it in real-time was just
- The end couple of scenes post-amnesia was gut-wrenching. Somebody on Reddit keenly pointed out this trilogy was like watching a Spiderman origin story in reverse
Goddamn, I'm looking for tickets again

You know, Defoe is something of a stuntman himself.
He said his one condition for coming back is them letting him do the physical stuff and not using replacements or CGI. Love that dude. He was sensational in this.

I’m looking forward to seeing how they reintroduce and reconnect Peter and Spider-Man to all the remaining and new to be avengers.
