Completely unrelated to Marvel, but Favreau directed, wrote, and starred in a nice little movie called Chef in 2014. I highly recommend it.
With small roles featuring Iron Man and Black Widow.
It's a great dad movie.

You know the multiverse is about to get crazy when fricking Spider-Man is dealing with it
We haven’t even gotten to Dr. Strange 2 yet

Tom Holland is the best version of Spider-Man. Hands down.

Chef is supposedly a backhand at Marvel, since it is about a high end chef tired of being told what to do who says “frick this shite” and then decides to do his own food truck.
Which sounds an awful lot like his directorial relationship with Marvel Films.

I was hoping he'd fit this line into one of the new Spiderman movies.

Really like how they’re using Fury and Happy. I wouldn’t be surprised if Pepper popped up in her final appearance to give Peter some words of advice or a key to Tony’s Lab or something.
I just really like that they’re playing off that Peter can’t be a kid anymore after everything that’s happened. In Homecoming, all he wanted to do was be an Avenger and be a grown up. Now he wants the opposite but the world needs him to grow up and be ready to be an Avenger. I love that they threw in lines about the past Avengers. I figured Peter would ask why him and Fury would have to say that no one has seen Thor or Captain America or Marvel since the funeral. Rhodey’s retired with Clint, which just leaves Peter and Professor Hulk.
This is confirmed to be the last of Phase 3 and that’s definitely the right move. After Endgame, with so much that happened and so much emotion, people need an epilogue and Far From Home can be that. It’s so key they got Favreau to come back as Happy. I think that’s a crucial role for Peter and Spider-Man going forward and having both him and Fury keeps that connected universe feeling that this movie desperately needs

Great, that fricking shite just spoiled Endgame for me.
Thanks.
I got the volume turned up in my headphones after his initial little spiel. My fault.
frick my fricking life.

It's been 10 days. That's on you.

Agreed. At this point, with RDJ and Evans gone, and with how much money they’ve made, I’m willing to bet Feige and Marvel/Disney would throw abnormal amounts of money at Sony to keep them happy

You missed Tom Holland saying for the first 15 seconds “If you haven’t seen End Game, turn this off now!”?

Yeah, not saying its not.
But it just sucks.
Also, 10 days is nothing. Theaters are still slammed for this shite.

The current deal doesn't involve Marvel paying Sony anything.
quote:
Spider-Man: Homecoming is still financed and distributed by Sony Pictures (i.e. they pay for 100% of it), and Sony gets the box office, but Marvel Studios produced the film and served as the “creative lead.” That means Feige and the Marvel Studios braintrust helped pick the director and cast, helped craft the film’s tone and style, and made sure to bring something fresh and new to character that audiences are already very familiar with. In short, they made a Marvel Studios Spider-Man movie.
quote:
While Marvel Studios doesn’t get any box office from Spider-Man: Homecoming and its sequel, they do still own the merchandising rights to Spider-Man and thus if Homecoming is a success, that’ll no doubt extend to the toys, underoos, and other Spider-Man products available. Moreover, ensuring Spider-Man: Homecoming is a good movie helps the MCU brand—if folks like this Peter Parker, they’re going to want to see him in Infinity War and whatever other MCU movies he’s in.
The current, complicated deal that was struck between Marvel, Sony, and Disney (which owns Marvel) is at present only for Spider-Man: Homecoming, its sequel, Civil War, and the two Avengers movies. If all goes well, they’ll come back to the table and renegotiate to keep this going.
I don't see Sony walking away from a sure-fire hit series that puts money in their pocket. They have the successful animated Spider-Verse to focus on as well. Marvel Studios can make a Spider-Man movie for Sony every few years, put Peter Parker in a good number of Marvel Studios films and make their money off of those non-Spider-Man Spider-Man movies.

This trailer is why the Russo brothers made the "spoilers ban lifts Monday" announcement.

I know. I just meant that if Sony ever balked at their partnership that Feige and Marvel would do anything to keep Holland and the Spider-Man brand in the MCU. The very future of the MCU could very well depend on it
Holland is the only one out of Cumberbatch, Larson, and Boseman that has that charm and charisma that RDJ/Evans had.

Ant-Man. Place some good straight-men around Holland and Rudd and we'll be good to go.
It's a shame that Nebula is a space-based character. She's great for other characters to play off of. I'd watch her in every movie.

I would say Rudd has more charisma then Boseman

I agree but Rudd is 50. Who knows how long he wants to do this. With MJ knowing Peter is Spider-Man.
I wonder if that will be the major thing that happens at the end, with so many people knowing he’s Spider-Man, I wonder if he pulls a Civil War from the comics and announces with: I am Spider-Man

Part of the problem is that Ant Man isn’t considered an A list character. Spidey, Dr Strange, Panther, Winter Soldier, and FalconCap are.
Even with people knowing what he is capable of, he’s usually seen as solidly B list or C list.
