I’ve watched IW probably 10 times and Thor’s entrance might be my favorite scene in the entire MCU.

I wish they would have given him more screen time of arse whipping, just a little bit more.

I'd say that entrance, and Captain America's elevator scene are the two best scenes in the MCU by a wide margin.

Agreed. These folks need to re-watch Winter Soldier and recognize.

Great entrance although it felt a bit wasted by how long they took to get Thor to where Vision was and also where Thanos showed up (even considering some of time in movie was due to turning back the clock). My kid says it’s because Thor didn’t have coms, but even if they had made that point clearly in movie if I was part of a group just getting overwhelmed by Thano’s underlings until Thor shows up and starts wrecking things left & right with freakin lightning bolts coming out of him (only Banner would have seen this before) and a new weapon I think I would have made getting him involved a priority from the moment Vision problem started on the ground.

Considering what his ax did to gauntlet’s beam at full power i know they had to have him show up just after Thano gets last stone & can snap his fingers, but it seemed to much time had passed on screen without a good explanation.

I do want some kind of cathartic arse kicking of Thanos as part of solution by the existing Avengers, and I hope they don’t make it too much about Captain Marvel. She can be a key part of the solution, but they need to let existing crew come back together and finish things.

After traveling through time and space using said axe, after absorbing the full force of a small star to forge the magical axe. Yeah, he's badass

Until you toss a shock collar on him apparently.

To be fair, those obedience disks worked on the Hulk, Silver Surfer, Ares, Captain Marvel, Doctor Strange, Iron Man, and The Fantastic Four in the comics.

i havent seen this, but holy jesus god that cgi for his eye is terrible. how does a movie with that kind of budget have such poor work?

I would think they would not want to be super lifelike and accurate with a bloodied missing eye and hole into the skull considering the breadth of their audience.

The answer is always Infinity War....although Hulk suplexing a giant wolf is pretty Boss.

Great stuff. It gave me a taste of how I felt when I was like 8 y/o and Thor was my favorite comic book character. Same with the two "Immigrant Song" sequences in Ragnarok. If I had to pick, I'd give the edge to IW.

So do you remember who was the last person, that was fighting in Wakanda, to see Thor?
It was Bruce Banner, and he told them Thor was dead.
and none of the avengers have a way to contact Thor anyway, and Thor doesn't give a shite if they do want to contact him. He'll show up and leave when he damn well feels like it.

Was talking about time after Thor arrived in Wakanda around when Falcon said they had a Vision situation and others started leaving big battle to help him with most arriving to help when Thanos arrived (including Groot) all before Wanda destroyed stone to then Thanos turning back clock on Vision & stone before Thor finally arrived right after Thanos gets stone. Just thought it took to long to get him to there without much explanation in movie outside of the coms theory.

Keeping Vision’s stone from Thanos was entire purpose for fight at Wakanda and with the calls to help Vision and then Captain communicates about situation (Thanos) you think even if not having Coms was reason that someone would have still thought to get Thor.

I don’t think at that point Thor gave a flying frick about Vision or the rest of the Avengers. He was intent on finding and killing Thanos.

that's not what im getting at. it doesnt need to be more graphic or lifelike. it just clearly stands out in the scene. the rest of the scene wasnt nearly as bad

So that wouldn’t include staying around the last stone? If anything what you are saying would make it more likely he would have himself planted by the last stone and not help in bigger battle.

Not really trying to have a character study on Thor just think after his entrance onto the battlefield kicking names & taking arse the delay wasn’t explained in film very well making it looked too contrived for him to appear after Thanos got last stone for the snap to still happen without showing him have some kind of obstacle that gave audience some doubt on whether he would make it on time.
