Cap is a moral compass and, allegedly, a leader
He is also a tactical genius and has perfect situational awareness.

Cap is too focused on Bucky shite, so his usefulness is limited.

The scene in A1, when they all stand together after Hulk punches the soul out of the Alien ship. . .That is Cap.

He is Batman minus the money and Daddy issues. . .but with superhuman abilities and real war experience.

Great scenes, but the movies haven't really tapped into the "oh shite, it's Thor" vibe as well as the comics have. There are "I would have a word with thee" moments in comics that put Thor on a much higher level.

When Thor and Superman beat the shite out of each other in JLA/Avengers, and Superman gets up and Thor stays down, it challenges the Avengers perception of reality. To them, Thor is the personification of power.

Meh. . .more accurate to say they were seriously worried about their buddy.

because they rush to wreck Superman's shite.

If it realigned their reality, imo, they would have stopped fighting right there

the only thing missing in IW was Thor wrecking more shite. i wish we could have gotten an entire movie of it.

hope they never do this in movie because Superman is simply made to be too powerful. almost uninterestingly too powerful.

though i do like Henry Cavill's superman.

The Sorcerer Supreme would step in and take care of Supes for Thor.

The entirety of the scene from Ragnarok, specifically the lighting protecting his back on the rainbow bridge, gives it the edge over IW for me. Although I really enjoy the IW entrance as well.

Thor kind of screws up power scaling though. He is probably the most powerful person in all of Marvel comics outside of Thanos with the infinity gauntlet.

Like all comic characters, Thor is as powerful as the writers need him to be for that particular plot. All the cosmic beings are more powerful than he.

Agreed. I liked both scenes a lot, but Immigrant Song keeps it all going for a longer amount of time. Although, Banner's reaction is pretty awesome in IW.

Thor has easily been my favorite since Odin asked him "are you Thor, the god of hammers?"

Would be funny to see him after that scene just stand up and say YES and start throwing Home Depot hammers at everyone

Ragnarok is so fricking good as a movie, but Thor's actual entrance in IW is better.

People cheered in my theater as well.

But I think Led Zeppelin fight scene is just incredible overall.

I think I might re-watch Ragnarok tonight now

The theater I was in applauded Cap’s entrance to save Vision as well.

I was waiting for Cap to have on a fedora and tip it when he came out of the shadows.

Imagine protecting someone after he murdered another guy’s parents. Mind control or not, im feeding anyone I know who did something like that to the wolves after it comes to light.

i havent seen this, but holy jesus god that cgi for his eye is terrible. how does a movie with that kind of budget have such poor work?

All CG looks obvious next to a real person when you look at it in a still picture. It looks fine when actually watching the movie.

Both are fantastic entrances, but IW is the one that still gives me chills.

And I agree, that would have been a bad time for Cap to show up unless he was at the head of an army. Not the same impact. His entrance earlier in the movie was great as it was.

I find this board's lack of faith in Captain America disturbing.
