DVR'd but haven't watched it yet.

How was it? Worth getting into?

I watched it last night.

It doesn’t do it for me.

Ridiculous concept but interesting nonetheless. The storytelling itself is poor imo. It’s very choppy, needs and tries to have depth but fails in its attempts to do so. It feels fake and superficial.

That’s just my opinion man.

It was ok. Not sure it should be a weekly series on regular TV - maybe Just a Netflix 7-8 episode series you can knock out fairly easy. It explained hardly nothing about the what and why of the show - so no real big questions to resolve. Still don’t know what it is about or why it exists.

And . . . (In case you’re wondering) fairly PC but not overtly so.

I still love Jennifer Connelly . . .

Finally finished the first episode. I liked it.

It was not great by any means, and is kinda cheesy, but that is exactly why I am watching it. The movie felt the same way to me, and I liked it. The idea of the train itself is just so overly ridiculous that it is interesting as hell to me.

Like someone mentioned, I love the train within the train idea. That was cool. And the twist at the end is interesting as well. Interested to see where this season goes since I expect it to only last a season or two.

And y'all keep the political bullshite out of this thread. There is a cesspool of a board for that shite.

I guess I’m the only one watching this show.

It’s not awesome, and some of the acting is meh, but I’m digging it three episodes in. Is anybody else watching at all?

I wanted it to be good, but it was just bad/boring. Still recording in case it gets good, plus Jennifer Connolly. It's not convincing me it's a sequel to Willy Wonka though.

It's okay so far, but nothing special. They need to get somewhere with something soon.

Coco. Check this.

When i first watched the movie, it was absolutely horrible. Another stupid dystopian movie with no backbone.

THEN i stumbled upon this. Genuis!

Why SNOWPIERCER is a sequel to WILLY WONKA AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY

I just watched all of that, I was thinking this is going to be pretty stupid, by the end I'm thinking I need to tweet Chris Evans! Fun and interesting theory.

I’ll have to check that video out later. Seems stupid yet I’m intrigued.

So is anybody actually watching the show or should I stop bumping the thread when I watch?

It totally fits. Definitely watch that video. No reason to remake the movie unless they go way off the track and explore something completely new. They won't. Money grab. Studio think tank...let's remake [insert something that made money].

I’m wondering the same thing. Just finished ep 3. It has my interest, but not binge worthy yet.

***possible spoiler***

It’s pretty obvious Wilford is dead and Jennifer Connelly has assumed control, right?

Spoilers

Yeah, it's her. That comes out soon if you're on E3. I actually am kinda digging the show, and they have kept my interest so far pretty well. Of course, if this thread is any indication, it will be like many other shows of mine that don't last more than a season.

Bump this when y'all catch up and we can discuss.

One episode from being caught up. It's a fun show. I'm digging it. Honestly the hardest part for me to accept is when she fixed the train. You're telling me that the broken part of that interconnect just happened to be on a one foot section of cable that could apparently just be removed and there was just enough length to plug it back in?

Really?

LJ was a fun character too. Good at being the psyco.

Mel could get it.

Indian-British security dude needs to get pegged. frick that dude.

Old huge Russian mechanic is probably the best character.

I'm really digging it, but I'd be perfectly happy if the tailies and thirdies join up and kill the firsties, including Mel, only for the final scene to be the train going over a cliff because something broke and they couldn't fix it.

I’ve enjoyed the series so far. Some parts seem cheesy or stupid, but it brings more information to the story and train compared to the movie.

If you combine both series and movie, the series is helping give you more information which is nice.
