Don’t know enough about the Reagan impersonator.

They didn't do QUITE as much political satire in the early 80s as later on, but Phil Hartman did some great Reagan impressions. Especially the Girl Scout / Iran-Contra skit.

The big turnaround was the presidential debates - I think it was Carvey's Bush I vs Lovitz's Dukakis. From there they got better (the three way debate was awesome, as were the 2000 debates).

Eh, she's okay, but her Clinton impression isn't all that great.

Her Jeff Sessions impression is outstanding though. Probably my favorite political impression they’ve done since W.

I'll have to give it a look.

I don't actually find Melissa McCarthy terribly funny, but I thought her Sean Spicer impression was pretty hilarious.

I thought the skit covering the first debate of 2016 was funny. After that, I began to feel like you in that they weren't being entirely two-sided with the jokes and were only going after Trump.

I thought all the ones during the election were funny, but yeah they got a little mean spirited after he won and I am not a Trump supported at all

Melissa McCarthy gets a lot of hate on this board, but her Sean Spicer was pretty epic and I think needs a mention.

Key & Peele did the best Obama.

On SNL: Hammond’s Clinton was classic. Both Amy Poehler and Kate McKinnon do really good Hillarys.

Ferrel as W is the GOAT.

Dana Carvey as Ross Perot still cracks me up.

They really missed the ball when Chapelle was hosting and they didn’t open with Trump meeting Obama in the Oval Office with Chapelle as Obama. Instead they do the worst moment in SNL history where they throw a fricking funeral for Hillary Clinton. If Norm or Belushi were still in the cast, they would have crashed that skit for the good of the show.

Plus I don’t think SNL has any right to mourn Trump being President when they let him host while he was running for President. If anything, SNL helped Trump get in the Oval Office, especially when during the 2nd Presidential Debate they introduced Hillary as “It’s safe to say it, President Hillary Clinton”.

the Trump impersonation is so bad because it's mean spirited and hateful. It isn't comedic at all
I've only seen it a couple of times. That shite is funny and spot on.

Dana Carvey's George Bush, Darrell Hammond's Bill Clinton, and Will Ferrell's George W. Bush are my favorites.

Several others did George W. once Ferrell left the show, but they couldn't hold a candle to him.

Tina Fey's Sarah Palin was always my favorite political person imitation though.

While, as it turned out, horribly mistaken... The Race to not be the Guy that loses to George Bush skit was hilarious.

I freely admit I don't find their versions of Obama or Trump all that funny. Politics aside, I honestly think they missed out on way more amusing ways of poking fun at the last two Presidents.

Because they didn't even try to make fun of Obama and they are way too mean spirited with Trump.

Tier 1
Hammond's Clinton
Carvey's Bush

Tier 2
Ferrell's W
Hartman's Clinton
Chase's Ford

Tier 3
Both Reagans

Prop's for McDonald's Dole and Carvey's Perot which are easily Tier 1 portrayals.

This will always be the GOAT because people recognize her words and actions playing Sarah Palin as actually Sarah Palin.

Pepsi syndrome was great

Also liked the one where Reagan was being his aw shucks self then when he got in private with staff he was riding them hard with heavy details

Trump was incredible impersonation. Trumpkins are so sensitive.

Hammonds Clinton is best, then Ferrell’s W.

Wasn’t the funniest, but Tina Fey looked and sounded identical to Palin.
