I enjoyed it. I was definitely curious to see how they would string out the Headless Horseman mythology for a whole season. But this could be promising.
And, in my mind, the cop had no reason not to believe Ichabod. She saw the horseman already and had that demon encounter in her past. He was able to identify the mark on the horseman's hand without her giving him any hint as to what she saw. So, maybe she is more inclined to believe this guy when others would write him off as insane.

IN!!! :deacon: :deacon: :deacon:
My very minor issues with the show:
1. Why did Harold arrest Ichabod? That didn't make sense at all to arrest someone who was miles away from an active incident.
2. Why do you have to kill Clancy Brown in the first 5 minutes? I assume he will be doing voice over and flashback/mirror appearances throughout the show. I had assumed Ichabod was going to bring him back with Washington's bible and that's why people would believe.
3. Evidently the Headless Horseman got a supernatural shotgun. That thing was like a grenade launcher. I would assume that since he is adopting modern weapons that he will soon be driving vehicles.

Don't know about that. Previews showed all four at some point in the season.

Because Harold was part of the evil coven and he knew who Ichabod was

The first episode rocked. Definitely my kind of show.

Just finished it and I agree with all the good reviews. It kind of sucks that they already took out 2 big names though.
I always thought it would be cool to put a 21st century spin on the Sleepy Hollow story, and so far, it feels like they're getting it right.
SPOILER.....
That mirror scene just after that thing killed Harold was legit creepy.

The early deaths is probably how they got the big names. Limited commitment for the actor.

Did "that thing" look kind of like E.T. to anyone else?

Pretty good. Surprised me. Like someone else said, it reminded me of supernatural.

Looked like a demon/Satan to me. Looked like it had horns.

Hate to be a party pooper, but I did not like it. I'm notoriously difficult with getting into shows, and, full disclosure, my wife, who generally is a much better judge, liked it, but my problem was with the writing.
I hated that they took so many liberties with the original story. Why did icabod have to be a British soldier who "turned?" Also the horseman was a hessian, not British, although they never expressly stated that he was British in the show, although it was implied. Finally, Katrina was not icabod's wife, so why go there?
I know I'm quirky, but I thought the original stories provided enough source material for talented writers, so why take the liberties? Just my two cents.

The only similarities to the book is the title and there is a headless horseman.
In the Fox version Ichabod is struck down and buried in 1776, long before the 1790 date of the classic story.

Fringe creators share the origins of their time bending series Sleepy Hollow

So is this bad boy worth giving a shot? FTR, I loved Fringe and I loved Alcatraz. At the very least, they could have brought Sarah Jones back from Alcatraz. I'll watch any show with her on it.

I didn't like the pilot.
I fricking loved it. This has a lot of promise.
