Last Podcast On the Left did an interview with Coogler about the movie a while back, pretty interesting. Gonna have to go check it out.

Damn, I need to go see this this week before it starts leaving theaters

See it in IMAX if you can. It’s about to lose the screens to that Thunderbolt movie on Thursday.

Wife and I tried to go see this last minute on Saturday night, but the theater only had singles available, so we opted to go yesterday at 1:00, and even that theater was mostly full. I've had some pretty full showings since Covid, but that's (almost) always a Marvel film that I'm seeing in the afternoon or at night. In terms of mid day movies, the only one with that sort of attendance I can recall off the top of my head is Top Gun Maverick.

Sort of off topic, I didn't realize during the movie that Pearl is the same actress as the Mayor Bella Real from the Pattinson Batman film and Penguin:

Pretty sure I've listened to "Will ye go, lassie, go" about a hundred times since watching this movie.

If I was a up and coming white actor. I would spend all my money to promote Sinners and myself on social media for this movie.

Not only is it a great movie but I could also fast forward 10 years of hard work to benefit my career.

Saw last night. Pretty good.
I would have been out there doing the river dance picking poor Robin clean.
I lined the epilouge too. Most people in the theater missed it.

The one where the spirits from the past and future showed up was wild. 1920s and they scratching records, twerking and have a dude looking like Bootsy running around while they have african shaman dancing. Interesting scene .

saw it this afternoon with my oldest.

i liked it a lot. great music. both of the big sets were fantastically directed.

i don't think this is the greatest thing since sliced bread like everybody is making it out to be, but it was really enjoyable. I'd actually compare it to Black Panther where people are treating it like a 10 when it's a really good 8.5. i know that won't be popular.

i don't like gore and they did a decent job of not making it so bloody and disgusting that somebody like me couldn't enjoy

Just saw it. This is the best opinion. People were clapping but, most were gen z. Definitely the BP shite. I love it's originality and it's story. I thought the end was great. 8.5 is right.

It was very very good.

The whole dance hall scene with the different generations was so cool.

The Buddy Guy cameo at the end was really nice.

Just got out.

Went in knowing nothing about it other than that everyone was raving about it.

The whole movie I was wondering which of the twins was Michael B Jordan because they both could have been him. Boy was I either really wise or really dumb lol.

I loved it.

Wife and I saw it to tonight. I had the same thing happen. I went in pretty blind other than knowing it was vampires and was getting a lot of buzz. I kept trying to figure out which one was MBJ and kept switching between the two. My wife commented the same and she looked it up on IMDB only to realize he played both.

I know I'm in the minority, but I thought it was just OK, certainly not worthy of all the hype.

i said earlier that i liked it but everybody's treating it like a 10/10 when it's a solid 7-8/10.

It's likely going to hit 300 mil, domestically. Truly incredible for an original film.
