Much to the chagrin of fatkid, Apple is releasing season 2 of Silo on November 15. Let’s keep the discussion to season 1 of the show, as many of us have not read the books.

Nice. It dragged a bit at times, but a lot of Apple's stuff is novel IP to most which I appreciate. Finished pretty strong. Definitely more interesting than most other streaming content.

Common is such a bad actor it almost ruins the show.

Im excited for second season. Are they dropping all the episodes at once or do we have to wait each week for a new episode?

(I'm fairly new to Apple TV)

If the 2nd season follows the 2nd book, it should be really good.

Note: I don't have Apple TV, so I have not watched the first season.

This show made me read. Like books and shite. I’m on the third one and I can’t wait to see what they do with the show.

Read all the books after watching 3-4 episodes. Subsequently finished the season.

They are different but frankly in a good way.

What they added made a little better to try to draw in a TV audience but by not being shot for shot allowed me to still be interested in the show.

I’m excited to wrap up this third book. Bittersweet because I don’t want it to end.

The third book is good and he did a good job of wrapping it up but the second is the best. Could not put it down.

To avoid divulging too much to non readers it will be very interesting to see how they bring that to the screen

I’ve been close to starting but I prefer watching the show without the book knowledge. I bought the first book even before the first season aired but got distracted. I’ve waited this long for season 2 and season 3 should be a quicker turnaround without a writers strike to delay it. Barring cancellation of the series, I’ll wait until it’s finished to read them.

Thanks to the Book board I’m currently reading the Bobiverse series which I highly recommend to any sci-fi fan. It’s definitely one to audiobook because Ray Porter is a master narrator.

It’s not going to. There are spinoff books already published that I remember as good quality

Don't read the books if you like the show. I loved the books and was so excited for this, especially with Rebecca Ferguson but I hated season 1. Common single handily has ruined this show because he's so bad and the dialog is absolute trash. They also changed a good bit from the books which I don't understand why they did
