they were losing money per transaction by re-packaging until they could scale up enough to offer their own manufactured products
Why not just wait until they offered their own pizza? What VC would greenlight this strategy. Just seems like a terrible plot device.

So my idea is the guy saw a 9K loss and with Richard's threat, just folded the entire company? It's certainly TV.
I think it had more to do with the fact he knew Richard could keep going if he wanted to. Losing $9,000 was just a demonstration.
Why keep fighting and your company becoming less valuable?

Shut down delivering pizza until product development is complete. It was a junk idea. You're either a pizza maker, pizza delivery service or service app.
What kind of dumb frick goes I'll go into all three verticals that isn't Dominos or Pizza Hut.

This bothers me the most, Jian Yang is only funny when he is in a scene with Erlich
I actually kind of like where they're going with Jian Yang.
From English-deficient innocent immigrant who plays hi-jinx on his landlord to ultra-corrupt Chinese authoritarian type. I think it could work very well if they do it right.

is the product still as hilarious as it was the first two seasons? I am way behind and need to catch up

Jian Yang is going to be funny when he and Richard or he and Gilfoyle come to cross purposes. His only primary conflict was about the house but once he acquires 10% of the business he will have more characters to piss off.

I loved when Jian Yang said "that's my cousin".

Jared’s lines this episode were top notch.

Yes they were. I thought the episode had a lot of subtle laughs and loved it myself.

Miller’s absence is very apparent. It just wasn’t funny. I found myself checking to see how much longer the episode had when typically it seems to end too soon.

Jared is the best

is this your first time watching this show? Richard has crippling anxiety in front of large crowds
It's always the same shite. "Writers. Early seasons. It was better when ________ did _________." Thinking TJ fricking Miller was an indispensable cast member takes the cake.
fricking losers.

Ep 1 sucked. Not funny at all.

You’re consistently among the worst, most miserable posters on this board, so this is adorable coming from you.

I enjoyed the episode, but I agree with this. I would like to see them make it off the ground level this season...even if they eventually get knocked back down over the course of the season.
Erlich's character was great in small doses, but I don't think his presence will be missed too much. This show has introduced so many great characters that they can fill a 30 minute time slot without him.

Hell, the doctor is one of my favorite characters. Looking forward to episode 2 just for 1 minute of him.
