Jared said that this was the true value of the tech way back in the pilot.

Nobody actually needs the power the platform is packing but the biggest techies and businesses. What they're trying to do doesn't really make any sense or have an application for a personal user.

did anyone else enjoy the scene with Gavin and his yogi "resting and vesting" with huge grilled steaks on the roof? The yogi dropping Lao Tzu to get Gavin to wait until after they attend the white water rafting corporate outing was awesome

Yep. I don't know how many people who are really into Eastern spirituality who eat huge slabs of beef like that. If you're a Hindu, you don't eat beef, Buddhists and Sikhs are vegetarians.

That is the plan in the future. They, like most start up tech guys, want to go the consumer route first

Consider the Iphone,

One of natures most technologically advanced and abundant resources. Now, consider that when given to you, a base model is already utilizing 10 gb of it's 16 gb memory on software needed to run the basic systems of the phone.

I notice that they always end each episode with song over the credits so terrible that it comes full circle to brilliance. No easy tight rope walk there.

The ending song is always perfect. The end of Sunday's episode was even better.

The only question in my mind is did Gilfoyle know Jared was lying at the end? I say yes.

Also, isn't the problem just as simple as either 1) dumbing down the user interface or 2) making a new, simpler UI for the platform, brand it Pied Piper Lite, then making the old one Pied Piper Corporate? Then put a FAQ page on the website explaining why it isn't Skynet and how it works in terms so easy a 10 year old and an 80 year old can understand it.

I think the biggest concern is just the UI.

This, nothing a little user centered design can't fix.

Edit: I assume they would still need to do design changes to the platform even if they go business facing. Since they consulted no business customer in the design of the platform I assume it will not be an easy fit with corporations. Plus the bulk of larger corporations all want to "configure" apps to suit exactly what they do from a process perspective.

Is anyone else getting a little tired of the formulaic episode model of "Have problem, fix problem...NEW BIGGER PROBLEM!!!"?

Every episode.

Reminds me of Keenan & Kel

eeeehhhhhhhhhhhh not really for me. It's a 30 minute comedy, it's going to be somewhat formulaic. And heck at least their current setup beats practically teh first 2 whole seasons where it was 1 step forward and 10 steps back. At least now they've got some momentum and a couple good things going their way for a change.

Caught up on the last three episodes last night. Really digging this season, although it's a little weird/annoying that someone like Richard has literally zero idea about how business/HIS business works. Like his run-in with Russ, or not understanding anything about the business side of things. I know they have Jared there, but you'd think that the founder would at least want to learn some things to have a working knowledge about how everything works.

I still don't get how Elrich and Big Head are broke though. Did the lawyer steal the money or not? It seemed like that's where they were heading, but then the story sort of backed off of that.

And I really hate Laurie. The whole "Peter Gregory impression" thing is really fricking old.

When does this show get good? I'm 5 episodes in and it's only mildly amusing. Any scene without Miller is a waste.

Finish S1 at the very least. I think you'll enjoy how S1 ends.

Holy shite.

I can't believe how accurate SV was with their Tables ad.
That Facebook ad was absolute nonsense.

I'm with you. The show is funny, but tiresome. It's CYE in the tech world.
