Sicario is such a great movie

Easily one of my favorites.

Kate was a fantastic character. She was in way way over her head, and her arc in the movie played out perfectly IMO.
My favorite thing about it is how it is tactically accurate relative to typical movies. Even a semblance of Realistic combat makes movies so much better. It doesnt have to be perfect. Sicario isnt. But damn its so much better than most movies in that respect.
One of my favorite moves and I love how some semblance of tactical realism is becoming more common. See: sicario, zero dark thirty, 13 hours, etc.

I think it's Villeneuve's best, and I'm not sure anything will top it for me. I really like a lot of his other stuff, but Sicario was a damn masterpiece.

Very annoying women are staples in Taylor Sheridan's movies/shows. The Kate character in Sicario is far less annoying than some of his others. Beth Dutton and the barrel racers on Yellowstone, the mom and daughter combo on Landman, the daughters on The Madison, etc.
