I never said he wasn't funny. I just don't think he's host snl funny. Stop being a drama queen and be ok with people not having the same opinion as you.

I think he definitely is, he's constantly on podcast and other improv type stuff with other comedians and he always is the funniest off the cuff and steals the show.
As far being the hottest comedian, that's not up for debate. He is the biggest rising star in the comedy world right now. That is just a fact and makes him an ideal SNL host.

That would be Nate Bargatze.
Shane is an above average stand up comedian. Honestly, he's more of a humorist than a comedian. He tells funny stories well. I put him in the same category as Kreischer.

When it comes to art opinions are so vastly different as to what you or I find funny, so saying something like :I think he's the funniest comedian out there" instead of "he IS the funniest comedian right now" makes a big difference in how I view your opinion.

You're right, it's not up for debate, Nate Bargatze is definitely the hottest stand up comedian. He's had a meteoric rise. Hence, has already been an SNL host.

I can't believe I'm nervous for tomorrow. It's like my kid is hosting.
I've been a Shane guy since the beginning, and I want him to shove it in their face bad tomorrow night. Just hope he doesn't bomb or do anything too extreme.

Seriously. Nate is selling out arenas while Gillis is doing mostly theaters.
I wouldn't call it a meteoric rise. He's been doing it for 20 years, he's just probably the last comic to make it big by doing it the old way.

it's funny that we're arguing over two very good comedians that are pretty universally liked by the board and country.
just be glad that a clean christian comedian can sell out arenas and a politically incorrect comedian has a huge platform and chance to talk to the politically correct front and center on SNL after a cancellation.

I think Shane is going to break some viewing records tomorrow. He is the people’s champion! 
People are going to be tuning in to see what he does that haven’t tuned in for years. Hope it’s a big wake up call to the execs. But it won’t be.

It probably will bring in his fans. I'm thinking there are fewer of them than you seem to. I very much doubt the average American adult has ever heard of Gillis.
