You are a bit too old to use that term.

They lost a lot of momentum with episode 7 and 8, and this finale didn't do anything to regain it.
Episode 7 is widely viewed as one of if not the best episode of the series. It has a 9.3/10 rating on IMDb. That episode certainly did not lose momentum, it gained it. I liked episode 8 but could see why some wouldn't.

If anything it will get people to cancel their Apple TV+ free trials.
O wow, people that weren't paying will continue to not pay.

Totally unsatisfying finale and now I have no desire to watch season 3. It's not a good sign when asking a simple question like "where is the security?" makes the entire show fall apart.
I have numerous things that bother me about the finale now after letting it marinate a little. Still was a very enjoyable episode and season overall, but I can easily see why someone would stop watching after that. It muddied the water a bit more if anything but I'm ok with that. It's too good of a show to keep me from tuning in to another season. Though I will avoid making any LOST comparisons because people around here really dislike that.

I started this over the weekend and am 5 episodes in. Carrie Coon is about as sexy as a human can be.
My favorite show of all time. Usually watch it every year or two. Just gets better and better as the show goes on. Gets better with each rewatch as well.

The alternative would be to start paying. If the finale had been better more people would keep their subscription going.

I mean but you're just making this up though
And honestly if someone was only doing a free trial to binge watch the season they weren't going to join anyway or will just do it again in two years. It's like that with every streaming service.
Edit: Since it aired it has been the 1st or 2nd highest rated show across all platforms and has the highest online engagement. Even higher than White Lotus, which is incredibly popular.

Episode 7 has been described as a masterpiece and one of the best directorial debuts by Gagne.
And I love how people spew everyone is going to cancel the subs without any citation, just pure anecdotal speculation because they didn't enjoy the finale or season.
Apple TV+ still has some of the best quality shows out there.

It’s a good show but this season was just alright for me. The show probably won’t fall into the same category as some of the best shows ever. Good not great

Security got killed & that position hasn’t been filled.

I always figured things were so empty on the severed floor on purpose. They don’t want an army of people down there.
Unless of course they’re playing an instrument.

I was highly pissed at the end of the episode, not because the episode wasn't really well done, but just because of Mark S's choice. I've let it marinate a bit, and while I still hate the decision, it doesn't make it a bad decision. Mark S. had no feelings for Gemma, so he chose Helly.
While I've recognized since Season 1 the Innies are individuals in their own right, this episode made me realize I still thought of them as less than their Outies, due to my reaction to Mark S's choice.
Can not wait for Season 3
I have a feeling Jame is going to offer Helly the chance to stay her Innie self.

I’ll just say this. Mark S. should have had at least a grasp of understanding about what Mark Scout had gone through and what he had done to get Gemma back.
The conflict Mark, S and the Innies had was fully fabricated and made no sense. It existed because the show needed it. That’s all.

The conflict was that they could be unalived on the whim of Lumen or their Outtie. How is that fabricated?

They’ve seen it happen before. Sometimes people stop showing up. But Mark S talks to his outie, it’s himself.. I don’t get, severed as they are, how there’s this visceral distrust of themselves over Lumon.
And there’d better be someone waiting for Gemma on the outside. Ms Cobel or Devon. Or this is full on crap.

Did you not see Helena's video to Helly?

There is inherent conflict between the innie/outie of every severed employee.
Look at Dylan. His outie hated his innie for being a better version of himself and it felt like his wife was cheating on him.
Mark had 2 loves. There was no way for the innie and outie to both get what they want.

I randomly grabbed the name Mark S out of the ether. Ya got me.

And Dylon’s FU response letter.
Another joke scenario. Being jealous of himself.
Helena’s treatment of Helly is more on brand.
