Watching the most recent episode now and with Irving at Burt’s place we’ve got an impressive trio of actors: John Turturro, Christopher Walken, and John Noble.

Yes. Helena was in parking lot in ep1 to see if Mark Scout would recognize her after seeing Helly R all day.
We didnt know who she really was at that point in the story.

This has probably been suggested but as has been said ITT the innies have a somewhat random amount of real world knowlesge. Is the work they’re doing editing out memories or whatever in people’s minds so they know the bare minimum to be the perfect severed employee?

I would guess Helena did not have that big of a role within the company at that point, she took on the responsibility as her first big assignment as the next leader. Probably wouldn't be a point for her to have a driver and all that until she was officially announced.

I’ll try to clarify.
Ep 1, we see Helly R’s outie in parking lot. We only knew her at that time as Helly R’s outie. We didn’t know anything else about her outside severed life.
Since then, we understand that person was actually Helena Egan in the parking lot in ep1.
I don’t see why Helena Egan would be in Lumon parking lot alone at that moment, unless it was to re-check Mark Scout and the severance process.

I do understand that.
If Helena was doing this experiment on herself to prove her worth to Jame and Lumon, I can easily see her walking into the parking lot without a driver and pageantry. It's not that crazy of a thought.
