Watched Master and Commander recently and lamented that despite the wealth of source material, they never made a sequel. That got me thinking about others that were left on the table:

The Rundown - 2003 - the early Rock and Sean William Scott made for an entertaining duo and I think there was another adventure to be told.

Collateral - 2004 - always wanted to see Tom Cruise survive for another killing spree… maybe this time he could get into Foxx’s luxury sedan instead of his yellow cab.

Henry Jones and his dog Indy - prequel to the Indy franchise - would love to have seen Indy’s father, Henry, on a pre-WW2 adventure filling out his diary.

What y’all got?

River Phoenix was a great young Indy in Last Crusade. Would have preferred a prequel with him as opposed to just ending the franchise at three films.

Alien franchise… Prometheus/Covenant while entertaining “prequels,” they didn’t scratch that itch for me.

Not saying I want them to make it, but seeing as how sequel happy the matrix franchise is, I’m surprised we haven’t seen a prequel about the creation/takeover.

Guess maybe they think terminator covers it.

I go back and forth on “Big Trouble in Little China.” The ending sets it up to have a sequel but it’s kind of fun to leave it as is without one and leave you hanging.

I wouldn't mind knowing what Kaiser Soze is up to these days.

This this this, so much this.

At the end of Prometheus, they teased the whole Engineer story...

And each follow up has been a rehash of the same old storyline.

I feel like Rick Blaine led a pretty interesting life prior to the events of Casablanca...his escapades in Paris with Ilsa not withstanding.

Could look like a cross between A Farewell to Arms and Lord of War.

At this point, I'd like it if everyone involved in making sequels, prequels, reimaginings, reboots, etc were all drawn and quartered...

That said, I'd have LOVEd to have gotten more Indiana Jones movies, but ONLY if they'd have been done with Harrison Ford and between Raiders and Last Crusade. Could have gotten a couple more excellent movies during that time frame.

Yeah, that's all.

I'm down for all the 22 Jump Street sequels they showed previews for in the credits.

pretty sure if river phoenix hadn’t died we’d have gotten several movies. And we would have been spared the crap we did get after last crusade

And I'd have hated them.

Liked River as an actor, and he'd have been a fantastic addition to that age groups young actors over the 90s, 2000s, etc...but ONLY Harrison Ford was adult Indiana Jones.

We needed a couple more in that time frame between Raiders and Last Crusade. Don't do Mosquito Coast and Witness and give me a couple more Indy movies and I'd have been all set.
