He first noticed something was wrong during the publicity tour for Jurassic Park: Dominion last year. He was subsequently diagnosed with a rare form of blood cancer known to the medical community as angioimmunoblastic T-cell lymphoma.
Neill says he's lucky to be alive after chemotherapy treatments failed him.

2023 hitting full speed already.
Damn.
Hope he battles through and beats this.

He's been amazing in pretty much all his roles, but as a huge horror fan, his performances in Possession, Event Horizon, and In the Mouth of Madness have made him one of my favorite actors.

I also remember him fondly in Dead Calm - Neill and young Nicole Kidman up against Billy Zane

In my early 30s. The original JP is one of the first non kid movies I really remember loving and watching countless times. He’s an engrained part of my childhood for that role alone.

which did not work. Neill, now 75, said he began taking a new chemotherapy drug and, after a long road, is now cancer free.

That Hunt for Red October scene always made me sad

One of my favorite lines...
Felt sorry for his character in Th Horse Whisperer.

I will live in Montana. And I will marry a round American woman and raise rabbits, and she will cook them for me. And I will have a pickup truck... maybe even a "recreational vehicle." And drive from state to state. Do they let you do that?

Event Horizon
It definitely got to me as a teen when I first watched it, but it’s not too difficult of a watch now.
And just think how wild it would have been if they didn’t cut, and then lose for potential future extra content releases, the bulk of the footage they filmed for the original crew’s descent into hell and madness.
If you look at the movie as a prequel of sorts to the Warhammer 40,000 universe, it’s clear that a demon of Slaanesh got them since they didn’t know about Gellar fields for Warp travel.
