Cinematographer Greig Fraser had to choose between Dune Messiah and The Batman and now the Batman has joined Dune. Pretty perturbed about that because Messiah has the La La Land guy now so it’s too late to go back to Greig.

Since they turned Chani into an independent woman who pays her bills and don't need no man, and had her jump onto her sandworm and flee off into the sunset, how much time will they waste in this movie with Paul trying to win Chani back?

eta: not sure why I'm getting downvoted for this. Its true. They completely changed Chani's story arch from the books.

A white man is the “hero” along with Brolin.

Agreed. Took me a while to come around on him, but Pattinson is solid. I don't hate this at all.

He could potentially film The Odyssey, Dune 3, and Batman 2 this year. That's a pretty cool slate.

Looks like they’re combing the books Dune Messiah and Children of Dune

I feel like it would take Denis 4-6 movies to try to cover all that

Right. Which makes me wonder how he's going to handle Paul and Chani, since Chani decided to peace out when Paul decided to marry Irulan.

Paul can see into the future and knows exactly what she's going to do. Why would he need to waste time playing love games? In Dune and Dune 2 has he at any point really cared about anything she does?

He already set her up to return to Paul. Paul told Jessica after he drank the Water that “She’ll come to understand. I’ve seen it.”

Honestly, maybe it's for the better. With DC pressing the reset button on its cinematic universe and the Batman II not coming out until, best case scenario, a whopping FIVE YEARS after the first film, it might be more practical for both parties (DC and Pattinson) to amicably part ways.

This is coming from someone who thought The Batman was brilliant, btw.

Paul's prescience doesn't work that way in the books. But I'm sure they'll ignore that.
