Gyllhenhall but he’s miscast in this role

Definitely not his wheelhouse. I’ve probably seen Road House more than any other film, & I believe a remake could be done, but not with this cast.

They should’ve cast Will Forte as Dalton and gone full parody

This is a mockery. Roadhouse is absolutely legendary.

A lot of movie scenes would be cringy if you're standing there watching them being filmed

The real Dalton would have kept his composure. No one needs an out of control Dalton. I'll watch this on one of my Starz/Encore stations right after Die Hard with a Vengeance.

Wish they would have left Road House alone its one of my favorite movies that I like to watch over and over.

Does this change that?

Doesn't change things but I doubt I ever watch the new version. The only remake I have ever liked was All Quiet on the Wester Front.

My same thought after watching that clip. Dalton was cool under pressure. this new version is a hot head. It’s weird.

Thats why expect this to be a Dalton flashback when he was a "loose cannon" or some shite and he is now down on his luck club bouncer.

I also suspect McGregor is going to be the Sam Elliott character. I know he's in the film.

Only other role he could probably realistically play would be the top enforcer foe for Gyllhenhall to eventually beat, but I don't think anyone would believe a 2-div UFC champion getting beat up by Jake fricking Gyllhenhall.

Worthwhile Roadhouse reboot:

AI recreated Swayze and Sam Elliott are hired by a cheese and wine bar owner to turn it back into a cool, rough bar. Jenga sets knocked over, fatties turned away at the door, fighting mandatory, villain: white female liberals.

You don't remake perfection. You just hit rewind and enjoy it again.

Well then what’s the problem?

Well then you’re missing out.

True Grit
The Departed
Dirty Rotten Scoundrels
A Star is Born
Oceans 11

Not all remakes are bad just because they’re remakes. Some are much better than the originals.

Why have a bald announcer doing a Rogan impression?

Was Rogan not available?

Would be a horrific rewrite of the character.

Dalton is arguably the most successful bar/nightclub bouncer to have ever lived.

Probably didn't want to be in the movie and Annick typically does the ceremonial weigh ins,not Rogan.

You can see Swazye's dance background in a lot of his fighting moves.

I wish I had a movie to prepare for so the studio would give me 6 months with a trainer, chef, and all the roids I need.

The words rough-and-tumble and Florida Keys do not belong in the same sentence. Unless you consider gay men with rich parents and fat boomer tourists as a rough-and-tumble crowd.

Who’s gonna be the music like Jeff Healey was in the original?
