Go watch Season 1-2 again, it's an entirely different (much darker, no holds barred) show. It feels fresh, way dark, it feels like it's unique, and occupying a space it was built exactly for.

Solar Opposites has taken over the dark, black humor angle, at least with the human ant colony plot line.

Still love this show though.

This may be the season I've enjoyed most since S1 and S2.

Nimbus, two Mr. President eps, and I enjoyed last weeks anime rip.

I'm about to watch last nights, now.

Nope. I think 9 and ten will be a two part finale. I like the idea and am looking forward to it

That actor? THAT ACTOR? Put some respect on Christopher Lloyds name.

I was actually serious. I don't give a shite if that is John fricking Wayne. It was a shitty Rick impersonation. And needs to be called out for it.

We shouldn't be ok with it. It's not funny when Joe Biden sniffs a kid and it's not fricking funny when Christopher Lloyd does a shitty Rick impersonation

You know that Rick is based on Christopher Lloyd’s Doc Brown character from Back to the Future, right? Rick is a shitty Christopher Lloyd impersonation.

Right? That’s what makes his cameo so brilliant.

Well, that’s just proof right there that your opinion should be given no weight round these parts.

Really solid 2 episode turn. The meta narrative is a fun aspect of the show and we got some good pay off in that respect. Definitely seemed to be some self-referential commentary about Harman and Roiland’s creative partnership

I thought both episodes were good, not great.
Seemed forced.

Although I did love that they based 2 crow Rick on Vampire Hunter D. Even down to the robot horse.

That’s kind of how the whole season went: good not great. Definitely stepped it up from last season but not quite at the level of the first 3. Some individually really good episodes with these last two having some really snappy dialogue and concepts and a solid address of the canon to carry into season 6.

I enjoyed the season enough as a whole.

I think it ended strong with the RIck C137 entire backstory, and Evil Morty and the plan (and reveal of the finite curve) to escape.

I'm not sure how I feel about them going back to canon (and they don't either, because it was pointed out throughout the entire finale, and joked about) but the Evil Morty stuff definitely has potential.

Evil Poopy Butthole origin story as well at the end?
