fricking awesome episode

“You’d better not take my man! I’m poor. And pregnant. With a poor person!”

Timothy Olyphant as a guest voice, the Predator nod at the end. Hell yes

Rewatching it now and the fricking song they sing when the soldiers leave is hysterical

Got a pregnant girl and a pickup truck
Got one by choice and another by luck
Now it’s time to turn into a turkeyyyyyyyy
I hope there can be peace one day
Til then I pray my DNA gets backed up
When I turn into a turkeyyyyy
WOOOOOoooooAaaaaaAAAAAAHHH
GOBBLE GOBBLE!
GOBBLE GOBBLE!
When I turn into a turkeyyyy

Right up there with “Freedom Cost a Buck O Five” and “Rock Flag and Eagle” for me

Incredible episode as always when it involves Mr. President. Plus a Timothy Olyphant cameo. Loved it.

They seriously don’t miss with the President. It’s fantastic.

I wonder if the turkey soldier will be a thing in the future. there were other soldiers too. revisiting the poor lady who is pregnant with a poor baby would be solid.

the turkeys sleep in trees gag was funny too. but like why would that be so surprising? they can fly and a lot of birds sleep in trees lol. quickly googling as I post this I found out some birds can sleep while flying :

1, 5, and 6 were all rewatchable for me. Great episodes, with 2&3 being above average and 4 just being ok.

This was a good episode.

I want To listen to the music in the montage scene again, because I think the song is about mixing genres

Ah. At last we see drunk C-137 Rick who’s self-destructive and still narcissistic. Guess we really have been seeing the clones and other versions.

As someone who loved Voltron growing up, I loved the Mafia Spoof angle with the Ferret GoTron.

The animation was clean AF.

Voice-Ovarians,

I wanna go to Boob World.

That end credits. Space bugs spreading the cure for AIDS.

Gotta be honest, this show isn’t as good as it used to be. I chuckled a few times in episode 8.

Victim of it's own success. I started pointing this out(how the quality of the show dropped significantly) in Season 3 when they coordinated a press-release highlighting how they went WOKE by letting go the toxic men writers and hiring it's "first female writers" and making a huge deal out of it, enough so that Dan Harmon started attacking his own fans as toxic (which lets be honest, they are) for calling out the wokeness and forced news articles, for spotlighting the phoniness.

I got shite on here for pointing it out btw.

Since then the show's bar has been drastically lowered, so that what would be just average quality episodes in the past are now the best we are going to get, as the bar continues to lower.

I still love the show overall, but it has been a shell since S3.

Good points.

Also, some of the humor is becoming too much like Family Guy. I don't care about the writers' pop culture observations.

Go watch Season 1-2 again, it's an entirely different (much darker, no holds barred) show. It feels fresh, way dark, it feels like it's unique, and occupying a space it was built exactly for.

Starting Season 3 the watered-down writing starts and you can track a graph of quality downhill from that point. (somewhere around: https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/tv/tv-news/meet-women-behind-rick-mortys-third-season-1028204/ This date in 2017

Then....
