This show has definitely lost its luster. I used to think it was smart, not I realize it’s not what they just don’t explain anything and act like they’re all so smart that it somehow makes sense. I’m in for silly fi cartoon fun but the show is just getting more and more ridiculous.
It’s funny everyone loved the pickle Rick episode but looking back that might be where this show actually jumped the shark

I think they shitcanned the Citadel of Ricks, not Evil Morty.
I think Evil Morty will return maybe in Season 7.

What do you need explained? It’s all random hijinks with allusions to pop culture, current events, science, and science fiction thrown in. Don’t overthink it and enjoy.

I don’t need it explained it’s just the shine has worn off of the Schtick a little for me.
