I'm a Hodor and to me that equation obviously means (Hodor + Hodor = Hodor)

Which is correct.

I'm pretty sure I know what you're implying and am not sure it's necessarily spoiling anything for non-readers. It's more connecting dots than anything else. I don't think there's anything in A Feast for Crows or A Dance with Dragons that would give it away.

Maybe deliberate, but Cersei is incredibly reckless, never thinks through anything, and thinks of her father and Tyrion as her only mental equals.

So you don't think she views Jaime as her mental equal?

No, the way she baited him to join the King's guard, she see him as her equal just not mentally.

Cersei does nothing but act impulsively and never thinks through her actions. She just got lucky with Ned and the fact that Littlefinger betrayed him. The stars just alligned for her then, but she hasn't done anything smart or calculating since then.

I think you are wrong on levels here. I think she is absolutely a calculating woman, but as Tywin says, she is just not as clever as she thinks she is (or something very similar).

As for Cat, she easily a hatable woman. I understand where her hatred for Jon comes from but it doesn't make it right nor tolerable. Hers moves to protect her children put all of them in danger.

I honestly don't like the Starks in general. I like Jon and Arya but they are built to like and be the "heroes" that have stuck around. Robb was his father's son in that honor above all else, including the survival of their House, family, friends and bannermen. They both stupidly lowered their eyes and ran around blindly to politics hoping that honor would win out and it isn't the way it works anywhere.

"Everyone is dumb but me" fits Cersei to a T.

I actually think she thinks she got the wits, while Jaime got everything else that was denied to her being a woman.

That's true. She views Jaime as the male carbon copy version of herself because he's her twin, she's such a narcissist, and literally envies that he's male.

Cersei always glosses over major details that seem unimportant to her, but are none-the-less essential. She just got really lucky that Robert was brutally mauled by a boar, that Sansa ratted her father out, and that Littlefinger betrayed him. If those things didn't happen, Cersei's head would be on a spike on the walls of King's Landing. She hasn't made a calculated decision since then.

Dismissing Ser Barristan was dumb, sending 40 men to kill him was dumber. Like Tyrion told her, she should have sent 400.

I think she sent like 5 of them, which is even dumber.

A. My son is a reader and it hasn't been revealed in the books yet.

B. I formulated my take on the theory - independently - while binge watching season 1.

I'm not going to risk spoiling it - but it remains a theory (if my son is to be believed.)

That was such a dumb move. Barristan really would have cut through all of them like carving a cake as he said.

That's ridiculous.

She admitted to Robb's wife later on that she felt bad about treating Jon like shite. It's not completely ridiculous that a mother would dislike a child that wasn't her own and was fathered by her current husband via another woman. Especially considering how "honorable" Ned and Cat tried to be in their lives.

She was not even close to the monster that Jofftard was.
