Getting a kick out of some of the Philly shutouts - Gritty, Tastykakes, wit wiz, Wawa. People need to drop the snowballs at Santa Claus thing though. It was almost 60 years ago, and it was due to the team dragging a drunk guy from the stands in a Santa Claus suit onto the field because the one they hired got caught in the snowstorm and couldn’t make it. Not to mention, the team was 0-11 at the time.

I gottta say that it occurred to me that Philly never looked so good as that drone shot with the statue to open the first episode. Also really enjoying the callbacks to Marc Blucas (Riley from Buffy the Vampire Slayer) and the actor that plays the journalist. He was always a favorite as Marshall in Alias.

Caught up on this season over the weekend. Spoilers ahead...
-The asian reporter is indeed a smokeshow. How about some topless shots of her too? We need some equality here, dammit!
-Reacher's back and forths with the older cop and then with the FBI and CIA agents were hilarious! One subtlety I've noticed is that he reserves that literal response schtick for those he has little/no respect for.
-I like how they've included adversaries with obvious training and that they give Reacher a harder time (the guy in the library versus the two asian guys who were basically just there to attempt to intimidate).
It's been a fun season thus far, looking forward to the rest.
PS: - Richton can EAD on his politics, but for me his TDS hasn't yet outweighed my enjoyment of the show.

The hot evil Asian chick did not get nekkid.
Then they tried to force some kind of relationship between Tamara and the small town white cop (Jacob), but there was absolutely zero chemistry and they just left it hanging in the end.
Still plan to watch Neaghly and Reacher S5, though.
Looking forward to the new season of Mobland. Will have to wait until Thanksgiving in order to binge.

I've only caught E1 of Neagley. So far much better writing than Reacher (excluding S1) but I still don't know if she can do anything but scowl. And even with the better writing they still have her doing things that make zero sense.

You have to wonder how many people signed off on that.
Clearly the entertainment industry is strapped for ideas. So you take an idea that works, you already know people like it, all you have to do is adapt it. Brilliant, you've got a built-in fan base and if your product is decent you can expand on that and add new fans. The story is written for you, there are enough books for you to milk the series for some time, so why crap all over the IP you're trying to sell people? I don't get it. Reacher books aren't fine literature but Childs is obviously a better story teller than the brain trust working this.
Reacher isn't Without Remorse level of bad yet but that's the current trajectory.

I haven't even watched the finale because I was kind of done with the ridiculous scene in the abandoned restaurant when the 2 asian ladies and Reach and company were trading for the usb drive and 6 guys come through the doors with rifles and some how they take them out while unarmed. Really? So stupid.
Also when Reacher was tied to a chair and flipped the table over and the other 2 guys can't unholster a gun in 3 seconds and shoot him?
Oh and when they were tied up in the van in the woods and the bodyguard for the congressman followed them and pulls out a gun and headshots 2 guys who already had guns unholstered.
With this kind of ridiculousness, this might be it for me.

That plus one of them is apparently superhuman that can survive a multiple story fall onto the street. I can roll with a lot with these type of shows but the last 30 minutes of finale had me rolling my eyes a few times. It’s still entertaining IMO, like I said, you just have to roll with it.

Alright, I watched the finale last night. It was definitely more ridiculous than the items I mentioned in my previous post.
So ding dong Reacher knows 2 Asians are coming to get him and he is led into a room and he doesn't think to grab even a 2x4 or anything. So why didn't the Asians grab a gun?
The ending of that scene in the street was just so unnecessary and stupid. What was the point of the 1 eared guy coming back and how did he follow him. Why does he need to be included in the ending? It was not needed and just added to the ridiculousness of the entire episode. Of course the Asian chick surviving a 3 story fall. Just absurd. If they continue down this route of idiocy in the fights and so many last minute saving of Reacher's life, I'm going to punchout.
