Has she even said or done anything remotely close to what the OP is talking about? I'm genuinely curious. I'm a little out of the loop.
I'll still see the movie, though.

I don't believe me buying chicken sandwiches or watching movies are political actions.
I still eat that delicious chicken at Chik-Fil-A, I will still go see Captain Marvel.
I wish everyone would do the same so that the right products will always win, not the "Accepted" political opinions.

The way I see it, apparently going to see Captain Marvel is bad. So if I eat TWO delicious Chicken Sandwiches from Chick-Fil-A, that should cover it, right?

Brie Larson's blatant attack on white men is appalling.
Didn't she just say she wanted more diverse press corps?
Seems like an attack on the media.
Anywho. . .I guess I'll watch it 3 times. Once for me, once to negate your protest, and once to ruin your boycott attempt.

1. I know I shouldn't notice, but you're a black dude, my brother.
B. I find you to be a reasonable debate participant at times, but don't you broadly identify with the left?
III. This is either a strange troll (as DP suggested) OR you're trying to keep the cinema seats empty for when you bring your crew to go see -

Eh, if that's the case, I am also boycotting Gunner Kennels for their attacks on white males, ensure you buy 3!

I wasn't going to see it and now I 100 percent will be going. Thanks for the extra encouragement.

Thanks for the reminder to go buy my opening night tickets

Brie Larson's blatant attack on white men is appalling. I can be tolerant about alot of things, but attacking your audience and virtue signaling is not one of them.

I am probably not going to watch Captain Marvel in the theaters.
Because I'm hard of hearing and watching movies in the theater is a pain in the arse. I'll give it a shot once it goes to DVD and streaming.
Now, for the record, I'm not sold on Larson as Captain Marvel. Not because she said something offended you, because I don't know that she can pull this off. If she can, then that's great. If she can't, well she can't.
Marvel's first solo female lead should have been ScarJo and it should have happened years ago. Not because she's a great actress but because she was popular enough to carry a movie and she'd earned the right to take a swing at it.

Movie prices means you have to eat like 4 meals

As a straight white male who is not a thin-skinned pussy, I plan on seeing it with the family on opening weekend.

I guess it depends on how sensitive of a man you are and what you consider an attack.

It seems more and more people are complaining about anything and everything becoming political, then those same people go on and continue to politicize the same things just in the opposite manner
The “boycotting” of things because of politics only adds fuel to the fire. I guarantee people like Brie Larson are waiting for all the white men to bash or boycott her movie so she can come out and further attack them and “prove her point”. If no one actually gave a shite what she said then she wouldn’t have people she can respond to. Stop giving them what they want

I'm not going to watch it, but moreso because superhero movies have run their course for me.
That said, I think boycotting a movie because you don't like the actor is silly. I still watch Se7en every time it's on TV and Spacey may be the most appalling figure in hollywood right now.
I think of it like the separation of Politics and art. You can still appreciate the art even though you disagree with the artist. For all we know Rembrandt could have been a cock, but that won't stop people from buying "the night watch"
