The “boycotting” of things because of politics only adds fuel to the fire. I guarantee people like Brie Larson are waiting for all the white men to bash or boycott her movie so she can come out and further attack them and “prove her point”. If no one actually gave a shite what she said then she wouldn’t have people she can respond to. Stop giving them what they want
This guy gets it.
The motivation to politicize everything comes from a place to make everything we do and consume combative and to separate people based on personal feelings and opinions. You don't fight against that by separating yourself from one side or the other, you fight against that by NOT being divisive, by accepting that everyone has the potential, regardless of belief, to make a good movie or a good chicken sandwich.
Adding layers that don't exist to something DOES NOT serve the art or the product one bit, and only seek to create "importance" where none actually exists.
Boycotting almost anything in the our modern world (read: North America) is pointless, because there is no way you can boycott enough stuff to be consistent.

Boycotting a movie just because of what an actor says is definitely pointless if not counterproductive. Especially if you're vocal about it.
I'm keeping an open mind about Captain Marvel. However, if the movie turns out to be another over the top version of "grrrrrl powah!" like TLJ, I simply won't go see the movie. I watch movies for entertainment, not political commentary at the best and smug condescension at the worst.
It's the same reason I don't watch ESPN. It's not that I'm boycotting them on principle, it's just that I don't want to hear people prattling on about politics and SJW bullshite on a channel that's supposed to be about sports. I'll turn on CNN or Fox if I want that crap on my TV.

Brie Larson's blatant attack on white men is appalling. I can be tolerant about alot of things, but attacking your audience and virtue signaling is not one of them.
So I should respond by a virtue signaling boycott of her film?
How many times should I post about my boycott on social media so I ensure everyone knows I'm on the right side of this issue?

I don't understand why people like Volod acknowledge what actors opinions are on anything outside of impersonation. Actors are literally the lowest educated among the U.S. population. They are mostly comprised of HS drop outs.

The one where I stream cable tv through my firestick illegally.
As far as the Se7en part, I plan on periodically rewatching it throughout the 21st century.

Lolz, these types of hoop-jumping exercises always entertain me. Where is the line drawn for you, exactly? Did you enjoy the Hunger Games, or was that too much "grrrrrl powah" for you? What exactly was so over the top about TLJ, in regard to its female characters? There were a lot of things wrong with that movie - Rey wasn't one of them. Was Leia force-flying thru space somehow a political expression to you? Because it was just crap writing to me. I'm genuinely curious to hear more about your perceived attacks on the American Male thru use of female film characters in 2019.
