It's not underrated by any means. It gets the correct level of attention it deserves. It's a good one.

Porky's was strong back in the day. Similar underrated 80's greatness had to be Hollywood Knights and Used Cars.

First one is a classic. The rest are crappy sequels.

The Tommy Turner in the shower scene and follow up Beualla Ballbreaker describing the penis are 10 minutes of belly laughs

So sayeth the flock!!!

That young man is NOT of the American persuasion.

I can go all day with Porkys 2 lines. Come at me bro.

I'm kinda proud but kinda sad by the space this uses in my mind. It could be used for good.

I was taking a Shakespeare class in college when Porky's 2 came out. It added to my viewing pleasure.

Porky's was great and a true classic, but I honestly thought the next two were even funnier.

But that scene in the first Porkys where the P.E. coach is shagging the howling chick in the gym with all the sweaty socks and jocks is probably the single scene in any movie that I've laughed at the most. That fricker had me crying. My guts hurt for the rest of the day from laughing so hard.

The third one. The cast was looking really old for high school kids

Loved Hollywood Knights and used cars myself. Porkys was also solid. Love me some forest Whitaker in used cars.

Lassie! That was a young Kim Catrell (in a cheerleader outfit, IIRC). Good times!

Porkys is really not a B movie, it was the #5 grossing movie that year

I don't know why it's forgotten and doesn't get the love it should

I saw it as a kid in Biloxi. It was a riot in that theater with the amount of laughs. My uncle mislead my parents as to what type of movie it was. Lol

How is it underrated? It was the highest grossing Canadian film until 2006.

The movie is great, if a bit juvenile. It helped that I was a juvenile when it came out, so there is that.

Holy Crap! Just realized that Cherry Forever was Webster's mom.

Susan Clark won a Primetime Emmy for Babe and was nominated for another for Amelia Earhart in the 70s. She married Mongo not long before Porky's (did you notice that Webster's dad, Mongo, played Sheriff Wallace in Porky's?)

Obviously, they put a lot into Webster and that meddling kid stole the show from them.

They must have done well, though, as they both retired from acting in the late 90s. Obviously, Mongo has been gone for some time, but Cherry Forever yet lives.
