I missed how she was able to make the connection between the barcode on the powder bag and the dog food. What did the screen read when she scanned it?
It gave her some kind of error, but then thinking to check the dog food bags? Thought that was a pretty big leap for someone that hasn't shown much common sense to this point.
Enjoying the show though

yeah I didn’t follow that at all. I’ll have to watch it again. Seems like she went straight for the dog food bags which was odd. It would have been more likely had the original barcode rang up as dog food

It showed her checking a few aisles first. While it would have made more sense to show her scouring the entire store until finally stumbling upon the dog food bags, that would have been a long and boring process to watch

well yeah it would have taken days to check every different item in the store. Maybe this is a case of losing the narrative in the edit room. No big deal but it shouldn’t have been as easy as they showed it to be

For sure, maybe not days since you could skip aisles without products in those large bags, but it would have taken quite some time. Carol doesn’t really have anything better to do though so I could see her doing it. There are only so many Golden Girls episodes out there

That has never stopped VG before. As someone who has bought a lot of dog food, I thought that it was obvious that it was a dog food bag or an industrial size of sugar or flour.

It's my impression that she keyed on the fact that the dog food bag was the same size and shape. She pulled the bag out before she checked the barcode. And the barcode was clearly different but (I think) it was located in the same place.

But then why the amber color when it’s mixed with water?
Uncomfortable amount of knowledge about human bones in here.

Is Carol going to hook up with the ‘frickable” Pirate Lady? That potential is enough to keep me watching.

Pirate lady is hot. That lady that plays Carol, I am not attracted to her at all.

"That lady that plays Carol"?

I really thought I was going to HATE this show but I"m completely hooked now. Slow but deliberate pace.
Interesting opinion about this show being slow. I feel just the opposite. Every scene is a new discovery of the “new” world. It is so intelligently done that a lot of people are missing the glaring changes because of subtlety. The fat kid with the sonogram machine, the natural lifestyle the Indian lady displayed during her short scene “compliance is bliss”.
Subtle, yes.
Slow, I don’t think so. Carol is having an endless parade of changes thrown at her and her personality is just able to process so much at once. To me, that speaks volumes about the human condition this show is highlighting.
The hand cuff key discovery… the button release for the shotgun. That was such a subtle “oh shite” moment for her. And what I mean by subtle is that her reaction wasn’t overly dramatic.
Like, “I’ve been ignoring the simple things that could help me because I have been having emotional responses control me.”
After the handcuff key, she really started her methodically researching and investigating.

If you liked the style of Breaking Bad and BCS, you should enjoy this show. Honestly, I think most people would like it. It starts off with a bang and then there's a slow burn after that. It's a fun ride so far.

One of the others actually would be Sydney Sweeney. You could just request her to be brought to you.

It's lesbian ingenuity.

Just chiming in to say that I no longer appreciate the weekly release. It feels like such a long wait between episodes, and I'm already kind of dreading that I'll get 40 minutes of storyline and then have to wait another week.
I know it's a personal gripe, and I do think the weekly release keeps the show topical for longer. I'll be tuning in and discussing the show for the next 6-8 weeks or however much is left. I'm already done thinking about Stranger Things, and that came out a week ago.
