So, why are they still underground? Seems they could go topside. Does Sinatra have a reason she wants them to stay underground for a while?
Didn’t the guy Sinatra spoke with that explained the whole doomsday scenario to her say something about things would get better after the ash cloud went away but that the temperatures would continue to rise? I may be off a little bit but thought it was something along those lines.

I think that is right. I guess she knows this but is not telling anyone. I was getting sleepy towards the end of the show last night. Did they ever show or explain what Alex was? I am thinking it stands for something and not a person. Maybe it is some kind of weather environment thing to counter the heating up of the planet. I guess we'll know for sure next week and get a big cliff hanger.
This season seems like it was just a big mish mash of set up for next season. Slow rolling it along like most TV shows these days.
I was also very surprised the psych lady was able to get to Jane. They spent a whole episode showing how badass and scary Jane was and then the psych lady gets her no problem. Didn't seem right.

Just chiming in to say I saw an article this morning that said it's been renewed for a 3rd season. I don't know if that's new news or not but it was to me.

I watched the most recent episode last night and I started thinking. What happened to the president’s father?

Most recent episode ended with Sinatra walking in a tunnel, putting on a blue lab coat, walking into a room with an orange glow and saying “Hello Alex”. I assume it’s some kind of AI interface, so we can incorporate every sci-fi trope into one season.
It also confirmed Link is somehow Sinatra’s dead son Dylan. At least we can say this show isn’t predictable, because I doubt anybody could have guessed it would potentially involve time travel and parallel worlds after season one.
I’m guessing the bunker was supposed to bring them to a parallel world but Cal’s EMP broke it and combined them somehow.

I will admit I did not see time travel, parallel dimensions, or whatever the hell is going on popping up in this show. The AI explains the big power drain that Sinatra is trying to hide.

I called the time travel stuff at the begining the season, but this last episode was really good. Can't wait for the finale as it seems all hell has broken loose in the bunker. Really interested to see where the go with the time travel stuff and Link/Sinatra angle. Didn't see that coming at all.

Idk about yall but I’ve loved S2 and don’t know how they wrap all this up with only 9 more episodes (Sterling said it’s a 3 season arc).
I’m a huge Lost and Leftovers guy so I love the Alex stuff.
It seems there are parallel timelines and she’s gone back in time to make sure her son lives. But why would she not see him for 20 years?

I'll say, even though I've had a few issues with the show, I really enjoy it. It is still better than most of the TV that is out there. They've kept it interesting for the most part and that is all you can ask. Looking forward to seeing where it goes. It wasn't a terribly long time between S1 and S2 so hopefully it will be the same going forward.

I’m actually listening to a podcast recapping this season and the creator talks about them getting picked up and they are shooting season three for two weeks and end late summer. Said S3 will debut same timeframe as S2 2027
Also Sterling K Brown said he read the script for next season and his jaw was on the floor. He told Dan “that’s a lot of crazy shite to get to” and then Dan said “that’s just episode 1 of S3”!

Great news. I hate waiting forever for a show.

Sterling K. Brown is so enjoyable to watch act. Just a really likeable dude.

They had ESPN on at work this morning. Sterling K Brown was on the show, I think it’s called Get Up or something hosted by Mike Greenberg. He was apparently in the last episode. Did anybody notice him because I didn’t.

Is the lead actor the vampire from the show supernatural?
He looks familiar

It’s been awhile but I think he was a hunter like Sam and Dean, but he was definitely in Supernatural.

Yes. He was a vampire hunter that eventually got turned. Think he had a 2 season run.
Spoilers
Sam kills him by cutting off his head with razor wire.

It’s been damn good and frankly I’ve enjoyed the slow build up to where we are at now.

The last episode was SO MUCH to unpack, but it was awesome. I was really hoping they weren’t going to mess around with the Xavier and His wife’s reunion and make the postal guy try and kill someone else.
It should be illegal to make an 8 episode season. 12 should be the bare minimum. Especially shows that are this good.
