This was one of the worst movies I’ve ever seen, as is on par with M. Night Shayamalan.
Anyone with two of the worst movies ever isn’t a good director.

People age 1 year every 30 minutes.
I wonder why the writer chose that pace. That’s too fast to even contemplate the changes. Aging 48 years in 24 hours? Gawdam.

Spoiler Question:
I've only watched the trailer but how does the daughter get knocked up? I get they are teenagers but you would think that they would be too stressed/freaked out to bang.

Not a typical question here but MNS is one of my favorites.
Was going to take the family to see it but wanted to know if there are any scenes that a twelve year old shouldn’t see?

She bangs the boy.

Apparently not

Nah. No frontal nudity.
A bit of mild violence, a couple troubling deaths.
It's a mild PG-13

Appreciate it, just didn’t want any over the top surprises.

I actually liked the ending, it semi saved it for me. But the whole beach sequence felt like a Netflix movie. People in our theater were actually laughing at the whole pregnancy part lol. None of the actors were great but the guy that plays the dad of the 2 kids that survive was teeeeeerrible

The film is based on a graphic novel. The time frame for aging came directly from the source material.

I want my money back.
That was bad. No, not just bad. "I can't believe I wasted a couple hours of my life" disappointing.
The premise was great - I loved the story. But the execution of that story was not at all well done. A good bit of the acting was on the lines of community theatre ensemble actors, not even supporting actors (Ken Leung - from Lost - primarily, but I'm not sure who could've acted those lines better). Whomever wrote the screenplay needs to go back to writing daytime dramas, because that's where it belongs. In an incredibly tense, life-altering emergency situation, people just wouldn't talk the way the lines were written. The cinematography was good at times, annoyingly overdone at others. I know what they were trying to achieve, but subtlety would have worked better than over the top.
Again, the premise was so promising, and the ending I NEVER suspected, but it was just so poorly executed.

the village is the worst movie I have ever seen in the theater. Wanted my money back.

I really liked the village. I just think they shouldn’t have revealed what was going on until after the car drove up. The timing seemed off to me.

The Village is movie classic when compared to The Happening and After Earth. If you haven't seen those, be thankful.

That’s similar to Signs a little bit. People love to hate on that one and they think it’s stupid, or a shitty alien movie, or make fun of it for the ending. And they are all wrong. It’s borderline brilliant and an incredibly good/great movie. The story itself...people seem to miss that the movie itself isn’t about aliens in the least. It’s a movie about faith (or more specifically, finding your lost faith). And it’s genius.
Yup the scene on the couch at the very beginning of the alien invasion is one of my favorite scenes in movie history.

The Sixth Sense is one of my top ten favorite movies.
Unbreakable and Signs were superb. The mood and tension of those films is genius level filmmaking.
The Village was not nearly as good, but the cinematography and mood were still excellent.
Lady in the Water was where it started going downhill but I still fairly enjoyed it.
The Happening was absolutely one of the worst movies I’ve ever seen, but despite a bad premise and script the acting wasn’t that bad.
Devil was actually pretty interesting.
Split was really enjoyable with great acting…though some huge plot holes.
The Visit was absolute dogshit. I laughed more watching it than most comedies.
Glass was another clunker that made no sense with characters not acting as human beings would in real life.
Servant on Apple+ is fricking outstanding, though probably because Shyamalan only produces and directs a few episodes but doesn’t do any of the writing.
Now Old?
It’s as if someone found an unused Twilight Zone episode script, stretched it out to 2 hours, got B movie writers to punch the script up and green lit it with a big budget. I swear every character was autistic and the film was written and directed by aliens. None of the dialog or emotions seemed remotely human and every character decision was flabbergasting. The movie had an interesting premise, but the execution was terrible.
I hate to say it because there was a time in my life where I thought M. Night was the best director in Hollywood…but he’s done.

Nah, it’s about aliens and the ending sucked.

Hear Hear! It is by far my favorite Shamalamadingdong movie. And one of my favorites of all time.
I'm not terribly religious but that "everything happens for a reason" theme/payoff really worked for me. Great movie, old school spooks and scares. Loved it. Mel Gibson, Phoenix, and the kid actors are all great.
Haven't watched much of his later stuff after The Village and The Happening but this Old premise looks promising.

If you can’t appreciate what Signs offers, then that’s on you. It’s a great film with good themes.
If your beef is with the aliens weakness being water, then you should hate war of the worlds just as much.

Just watched this. It wasn't near as bad as the happening, but the happening is in its on special category of bad. As has been said, the acting/dialogue was straight up WACK. Just awful.
The storyline wasn't the worst, but it was still pretty damn silly.
One thing that bothered me probably the most was that the guy who is a police officer in some U.S. city that was simply vacationing there who Trent gives all of the info to at the end somehow gets assigned lead investigator of this case on some foreign, tropical island.
