The Hilltop group did not pull off what Rick and Co just did (killing ~20 Saviors). So they likely only needed a small group of Saviors to convince them into 'working for Negan' and they always brought their stuff to that one satellite group.

What are they gonna do? Throw horseshite at them and jab the saviors to death with their long spears?
Also, where the eff has Jesus been? They trying to play up the whole Easter situation and pops out of nowhere next season?

They had the same spears as the people at the hilltop so wouldn't it be safe to assume they were from there??

That could make a great scene..have them all show up in the RV back at Alexandria. Maybe get a shot of Gabriel's face going from joy to dread when they all step off one by one in tears and carrying the wrapped up body of whoever got Lucilled.

How come nobody has built an armored vehicle? Why are there not more improvised explosive devices? For people that are seemingly constantly at war with rival factions and tribes, they haven't really stepped up their game and innovated. I would think the Alexandrians would have the time behind their walls to create some cool stuff, but none of that has happened. What's the point of all that civilization, specialization of their people if they aren't using it to advance? This is Rick's weakness in my opinion...great battlefield commander but not a strategic thinking general.

why not just split the group and have half follow the rv on one side of the road in the woods and the other half on the other side.
then when you get to the roadblock, you have them flanked on 3 sides, it's a shooting gallery for you.

Well before Rick and that crew got there, most of the Alexandrians had never been oustide the walls. They probably didnt even think it was necessary to build something like that. I would have had Eugene and Abe on it from the start but I can see how it was overlooked.

The writers are no doubt focus grouping who it should be this very moment right? I assume they will choose who is killed based off of the reactions/speculation.
