I highly doubt they thought the show would go this far at that point and would think to include something like that. On another note, I think it's far more likely we see Grant as a walker than still alive. I know he's supposed to be untouchable and they left it up in the air, but I feel like leaving it up in the air is going to drive his plot for a few more episodes til the mid-season finale, with flashbacks on Grant's life and how completely he had changed, but ending with Grant as a walker and Maggie putting him down

While technically true, if you're bit, you're dead. The exception being if they can amputate before the infection spreads. Usually the bites aren't on a part of the body where that is possible however. That's why the constant question since episode 1 with Morgan being "Did you get bit?"

glen is dead. its been a while since they killed a core character, it was about time to take him down. Bob and Tyrese last season. someone was due to die.

Still got to wonder how Morgan got to Alexandria so fast even if he used his ninja skills. Speaking of ninja skills we probably see next week who taught him how to use his staff and how he became such a pacifist.

He should be but there will be some miracle intervention.
I still feel that the show needs a monumental death (Glenn, Daryl, Michonne, Maggie, or Carol) to keep the apocalypse real.
