Yes, he told us himself that various thugs were allowed to live when he had to lose his whole family. So getting rid of the thugs was his way of dealing with the loss.

Watched it last night. Am I the only one that cried when Strange gave Tony the signal that this was the 1 chance and Tony did the snap? I knew it was coming, I just didn’t know how. Man, I felt like a bitch leaving the theater.

There aren’t any avengers any more. It’s done, for now at least. The core of the group is all dead including the main benefactor and physical headquarters completely destroyed.
Phase 4 is going to be smaller scale events with the heroes on earth, with anything “big” happening in space.
That doesn’t mean the “Avenger Initiative” won’t be restarted later but it is definitively dead right now.

Did Gamora get snapped at the end? I’ve read some believe that she left after the battle and Quill was looking at the map at the end to try and figure out where she might have gone.
