So, that movie wasn't nearly as awful as I thought it would be. It isn't a good movie but it is not a 30%.

And it needed much more Wonder Woman.

I liked it a lot more after watching it for the second time today.

Same here. It just felt a lot smoother. But this movie could've been great with a better director.

Movie sucked.

Who was the dipshit that thought "Hey let's put this boring scene that should obviously be after the credits in the middle of the climax"

It improved immensely on second viewing for me. There is just so much to visually process it's hard to come away from it the first time satisfied. Much better flow on second viewing because I had an easier time discovering different beats.

I just saw it, and I definitely get the sense that it requires multiple viewings. There's a lot going on.

The entire rest of the jla is just thrown in there and has absolutely no reason of being in the movie. Those parts are comically bad, especially the flash. That guy is a fricking joke as Barry Allen. Just atrocious.

Comic book lovers not liking the movie because it was different from the comic books amuse me.

It's like they think the comic book version of these characters and storys is the end all be all. Heaven forbid a director puts his own spin on a character or story.

This movie was so bad I walked out in the middle of it. The only other movie I did this was Vin Disel in that witch hunter movie which was horrible.

I HATED IT

-magic US bullet technology in the desert
-confusing batman dreams
-long boring tangents that mean and add nothing to the story
-batman/superman are extremely EMO
-Lex Luthor is a a Zac Uckerberg type nerd
-Wheelchair guy wtf?
-The car chase scene was terrible. GOOFY

I've never walked out of a movie, and I didn't think that movie was that bad. I rented that movie and enjoyed it for what it is worth.

I will say, one thing that did annoy me a little bit is that Batman straight up murders people in this movie.

There is no "well, he might just knock them out".

No, he blows people the frick up.

I think what amuses me more is the desire to spin this decision by DC/WB and Snyder as people with a deep love and understanding of these characters being the problem, and not that they tossed out so much of what made them loved in the first place.

This level of angst by the core audience was about as predictable as a fricking sunrise given the reaction to MoS and it's spins on Superman. The studio clearly went into this with a "frick you if you don't like it" attitude, and now it's reaping what it sowed. And that's simply based on the decisions about how they reworked these core characters to be merely in name only versions of themselves and not really anything to do with the myriad of plots going on at one time, pacing issues, etc.

Take Deadpool for instance. Deadpool wasn't a run away success because he said frick a ton and you got to see Ryan Reynolds being pegged...it was because after having aborted their first attempt at bringing this character to life with Reynolds in the Wolverine movie (remember the studio taking huge piles of shite for that??) they decided to stay true to the character, believe in the source material they had and give fans what they expected...and boom.

This entire endeavor should have been the easiest job in the world...bringing to life some of the most well known and beloved comic characters in history with a metric shite-ton of source materials at a time when superhero movies are at their peak and in a time when CGI has caught up to the desires of filmmakers to produce what they want. All they needed to do was give movie goers the characters they could recognize and produce a movie that actually made sense.

Instead, they decided to be edgy to test just how hip the audience would be, and now that the predictable has happened are sent out to call out the audience for not being cool enough to get it... Nah...I get to be pissed that they whiffed this hard for no other reason than being too cute for their own good. As soon as it became apparent Marvel had opened the door for these movies, I got geeked up for DC to get theirs out because I'm a DC guy at heart. It's heartbreaking watching this happen with the franchise I've wanted to see for so long...

After Star Wars and Deadpool, how is it not obvious to these studios that nerds go to these movies because we enjoy these characters. We don't want different takes on them, because when they change too much, it stops being the characters we enjoy.

They can change small things about the characters to fix stupid plot holes or condiluted character backgrounds, but when you change defining characteristics, it stops being fun.

I don't want a dark and emo Superman. I didn't buy a ticket to see SuperWhine V Batkiller. I love the Batman/Superman comics because the two characters are so different in style yet their core ideologies are the same. Here Superman was aimless and doing what everyone else told him to do and Batman was played by everyone.

I enjoyed the movie as a pre summer blockbuster popcorn flick. But that was not the movie I wanted as a comic book fan. Just as non comic book fans are allowed to enjoy the movie for how they saw it, I can be disappointed that the movie didn't portray the characters I love from the comics.

I agree with a lot of that. I want to know who ok'd allowing Batman to be a mass murderer. I don't mind the use of some gun-related tech, but he was viciously slaughtering people.

Those guys he drags behind his car definitely died. As did the ones who he blew up from the bat plane.

Ok. I just thought it was strange.

Especially considering that no one focused on his killing and were only bothered by the fact that he branded some people.

Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed the movie, but it was one of the many annoyances.

I was also really confused by the jump to future Batman and the dream.

I know the are alluding to Darkseid, but the segway into that just threw me for a loop.
