The art of conveying a story?
It failed, or at the very least a D-
Re-edited? This could very well be a good movie.
As it was presented, more like paella, a little bit of everything and all over the place.

"Don't pity the dead, Harry. Pity the living; and above all those who are too narcissistic and miserable to enjoy a fricking Batman movie"

It was better on the second viewing. I really REALLY want a solo Batfleck movie now.

Mike: Do you think they'll follow the Death of Superman after this?
Rich: No, because that was really interesting.

So. Really, really, really don't like a lot of things in BvS.
LOVED Gal Godot's WW. She killed it. Had an awesome music motiff too.
HATED everything regarding Lex Luthor.
Liked Afleck's performance. But not the way they wrote Batman overall. There were a few moments when I was like "YES! This is Batman!" And others where...I was saying the literal opposite.

Snyder has shown he does not understand these chracters at all. Lex was a poor imitation of DK Joker, and Batman... killing people left and right. Sad.

I just saw it. I didn't think it was as bad as many reviews made it out to be. It's entertaining. The kids did not like it at all, my only realy complaint was they made it too much of a Batman film and made Superman a second banana and I think we don't get enough Superman. Obviously he's not dead, but still not what I thought the movie would be.
Also, the thing that makes them buddies is that their mothers share a name?

Just curious if you had this same issue with every other Batman film?

Batman grinning when Superman showed up to the fight was badass.

It also shows you know very little about the numerous portrayals of Batman in graphic novel form. Especially those by Frank Miller.

These modern movie makers love them some Frank Miller

I really think kids know best in many ways. As far as something being entertaining on its own merits, kids are highly preceptive to this. If they can't find something entertaining, then its a good bet that it is not remotely entertaining on its own terms. Sure there are dark things out there like Pan's Labyrinth they're not going to enjoy, but if they can't enjoy a Batman movie, then it's shite.

I saw it this afternoon. Amazes me the people that try to manufacture reasons to hate this movie. Batfleck was great. (My only criticism of the Batman portion of the movie was how they portray Alfred as the brains of the outfit.) I thought the story worked and wasn't too difficult to follow.
I read all the sunshine pumping for "GotG" and that movie was an unadulterated crapfest. And this Batman/Superman movie is the one that people shite on???

It's Superman and Batman fighting. I mean, shite. Seems like kids would eat that up.

Umm, no it wasn't. If you can't appreciate and laugh your arse off in this scene, then the joke is clearly on you: LINK

I just realized something...
was Green Lantern in the movie? (ETA: As in Hal Jordan, I would remember if GL was shown)
I ask honestly, as he could have easily been introduced in the blitz of editing cuts in the first 1.5 hours, and I missed it. Or, I dozed off or was to busy trying to make heads or tails of 5 scenes ago, or in this case, 45 seconds ago

I just realized that the Jeep Renegade that Bruce Wayne was rolling in wasn't even in production yet when Zod hit Gotham. Watching Man of Steel now.
