Magneto’s original characterization is that he is playing Malcolm X to Professor X’s MLK.

Casting a guy who once played Malcolm makes sense on that level.

Unless they make it a period piece they can't really do his Holocaust backstory at this point anyway. May as well update it to some other genocidal conflict. You could have him be a survivor of the Rwandan genocide from the early 90s.

Holocaust is too far in the past. They are going with another origin story.

If Magneto does some Equalizer shite I'm buying out a theater showing in support of X-Men.

Im not sure I buy Denzel in a superhero movie.

But then again he is one of the great actors with plenty of movies to his resume, so I wont doubt him.

Ian was incredible as Magneto and fassbender was the best part of the origins series. They’ve hit gold twice and I don’t know that I want to see the character rebooted in any capacity.

Same with a Wolverine. I just don’t know who will play them as well as the originals. X-men unfortunately may have come too soon. That series for all its faults it would have has some of marvels most iconic performances in cinema. Same with Professor X.
