Not enough downvotes for this. He was a really good guy and that whole part totally shocked the hell out of me. I just didn't see that coming. The whole show was that way. It took on a really tough subject and didn't hold back. I just don't know how I feel about a lot of it, but I'm glad I watched it. I'm recommending it to everybody I know now.

There are several people that knew the kids saying how good the 3 kids were that got shot by the guy with an AR15 while robbing his house. Claiming it was just some dumb mistake. It wasn't and this isn't either. No telling how many kids Jeff got drunk and how many times those kids were driving around town. He may have gotten the Asian girl drunk resulting in his own death. His actions were not some dumb mistake.

This board loves drunk drivers and dipshits that supply them way too much. I hope all you frickers have someone you love die in this type of situation just so you can know what it's like on the other side. Probably won't learn anything from it, though. Part of my Louisiana family hasn't...

That is an absurd leap. He wasn't drunk. He didn't do anything illegal. If anything it was proven that he wasn't even at fault for the wreck, since the sign was missing. He was getting alcohol for the kids to drink at a party. In my world, that's not even illegal, as long as they had parental consent and weren't driving after, that's legal.

I'm sorry you have had some bad experiences. But your projecting something that wasn't on the show. Jeff was a good guy and he was a good friend to Clay.

This is just a f'd up thing to say. You probably need to delete that..

Underage drinking and most likely providing alcohol to minors because lets face it, we know that probably wasn't his first beer run. He most definitely has done them before. As I said before, he may have supplied the Asian girl with the alcohol that led to the stop sign incident. He may have been responsible for it as well.

Probably lied about how much he drank. Toxicology could of showed he was drunk as well.

Nope, people just don't want to grasp just how devastating drunk driving deaths are, I'm tired of playing nice with the buzzed driving supporters.

Got through 6 episodes this weekend and I keep dreaming in in the school which is exhausting.

I watched it, and let me start by saying I'm definitely not their target audience, but it just felt like a really well produced After School Special.

Every episode had multiple moments where I would roll my eyes and say "come the frick on".

I will say the actor who plays clay Jensen, the main character, was really good, and I loved the setting in and around the Bay Area. But the main girl was just dreadful.

Ultimately it was a huge let down that was preachy AF, and used all of the same trite stereotypes that have always been used. I can't recommend it, it's a significant time investment, and not worth it in my opinion. Unless you're a teen or young adult...

Just finished it and was pretty dissapointed in it. So much of the plot depends on people obnoxiously not speaking coherently or answering straight forward questions with other questions, and then just walking away.

Also if im all but one of those kids I'm not sure what the frick they were so worried about.

I agree with this completely. It would've been good had they not overused the stereotypes.

SPOILERS

I didn't understand Courtney's logic in not letting anyone know she was gay. Seemed like that school was pretty cool with gay people.

I also don't really understand why all the kids on the tapes were so concerned about them getting out besides Bryce potentially. That whole "team" thing they had going on was dumb as frick.

All this along with the fact that Clay's mom choosing to defend the school in the lawsuit was hilariously bad. As a parent, that's the last thing that I would do, regardless of whether or not I thought my child knew the child that committed suicide.

My wife read the book and she said the stuff from the book was really well done, but all of the additions they made were really dumb. Overall, it wasn't a terrible watch, but they overdid a bunch of the storylines that they added.

Just finished, and all I can say is that certain scenes in the final episode were damn hard to watch.

Spoilers

Was anyone else a littler disappointed when we didn't get to see Tyler go HAM on the school?

Made it through 11 so far. Not sure what's coming although I assume Mr Porter has to get a tape. He is just a piece of shite counselor. It's a little annoying because of the overreactions but still I wanna keep going to find out what all happens. Tony is creepy though. Alex is actually the most sensible kid there it seems but there's no way he is friends with those guys in a real school.

I really liked Tony. He just seemed way more mature and older than the other kids.

You don't think Alex would have been popular? He was a new kid to the school. But his family seemed to do well. He had his own car, was a talented musician and the ladies loved him. I think he would have done alright.

One thing I just kind of realized and I'm wondering now is did Hannah really like Clay, romantically I mean. She always knew that he liked her. But she went after at least 3 other guys while he pined away for her. He almost seemed like her last resort/choice. Which is kind of messed up..

I'm sure they will eventually make him a school shooter episode, but I think he may go for specific people before we get to that and probably already shot Alex.

Pretty much par for the course when it comes to females and nice guys.

shite, I didn't even consider the fact that Tyler shot Alex. I assumed he took his picture down because Alex was the only one treating him with some respect.

Tony seems mature because the actor playing him looks like he is 30.

Most of them probably are. How many of these high school sophomores and juniors had multiple tattoos?

That's what I thought. Alex was actually pretty nice to him and stood up for him a number of times. I also saw the picture being removed to being Tyler removing ALex from his hit list.
