I thought it was pretty flat. Shane didn’t do nearly as well as I thought he’d do. Tony murdered, Brady was solid, Katt had a few good jokes, the rest were all the same combo of short, black, whore jokes that sometimes got a chuckle. Felt like only Tony truly went hard.

Yeah, maybe I wasn't in the mood for it last night or something..

It came off pretty cheesy. Seems like the roasts have gotten too big and showbusinessy.

Same.

Felt like it was building momentum then they would do something to kill it. It also felt way too long.

Really wanted to like it, and there were some parts that were really funny, but when it was over, just felt…meh. Maybe too many “I have to read this to get paid” “jokes”

Really made me appreciate how well Comedy Central had these things dialed when they were doing them. Even the bombs were entertaining

The way Tony went after Chelsea Handler felt more personal than just having fun at a roast.

Yeah the SNL group currently is still missing a good bit but probably the best group since the Hader days. What I like about this group is that the writers are taking some chances on some really off the wall skits instead of low hanging fruit.
The episodes are still hit and miss but this week's with Matt Damon was 90% good.

Agreed. They both seemed like they legit hate each other. He laughed when everyone went after him, except for her. He looked pissed.

Kevin's fake interjections during some of the folks' roasts took away from the show. He's the same way in his Funny AF stand up competition show. He just comes off as so damn inauthentic and trying to put on a performance for the camera.

But I thought Shane did well. Jeff Ross was awesome. Tony was really good. Even Tom Brady did ok. The usher thing was funny. I still have 20 min left, but the whole show is worth a watch IMO. I'm glad they are doing these live comedy events. I hope we don't have to wait 2 years for next roast.

3 best:

1) Shane Gillis
2) Katt Williams
3) Jeff "the cancer" Ross

I love how Shane pointed out that Chelsea went to Epstein's island for basically no reason other than to point it out

I mean...he has made multiple movies with Hart, they are friends, and he is a big star that was almost certainly invited. Its not like the two have never met or something

The Rock and Kevin Hart were the worst parts of the whole thing. Everyone else was pretty funny.

Watched it last night. Imo it was far inferior to the tom Brady roast.

Way too much “I didn’t write this joke don’t get mad at me” going on

I love Shane and saw him in Birmingham last year but didn’t think he was that funny last night outside of a couple lines.

Tony was solid but not as good as he was in the Brady roast

Wtf was Draymond doing there. Terrible

The black guy at the beginning was actually decent

Overall give it like a 4/10 for roasts

Yeah everything from the Rock on was awful. The whole shite with Kevin’s wife was weird and forced.

Katt was great

I thought this every time he "reacted." He was just holding the mic waiting to talk.

Multiple people said, "I didn't write this," or "I have to say this for the money." Pretty aggravating to hear it so much.

Chelsea Handler sucked. The dais wasn't really impressive. The crowd sucked too. It was nowhere near as funny as Tom Brady's Roast.

My expectations were too high, but that's my own fault.

I liked Shane, Tony, Katt, Big Jay, Jeff, about 50% of Rock, and Cheryl Underwood (I didn't know her) made me laugh.

True. They should've stuck with the heavy hitters.

Seems like the focus was topping the Brady roast with the plan that more is better.

They ran into the territory of a camel is a horse designed by committee.
