Has anyone watched this?

Last night one of my friends texted me and told to watch it if I haven't already seen it. He had just finished watching it. So after the LSU basketball game I started watching it and it's one of the most insane stories I think I ever heard. I have to finish it tonight, but don't have much left.

You know this is why you get picked on right Chris? None of this exposition was necessary.

Spoilers

And yes, I watched it. Holy shite those parents are complete shite. The least shocking thing that happened was the florist, piano playing dad giving B a handjob.

Here’s how your OP should’ve read:

“Has anyone on the board seen this? What do you think?”

That's the point when I was like "WTF?".

They had to be the most naive family ever.

Oweo, you have an incredible ability to wade through the sea of hateful responses and only respond to the one or two people that are actually engaging in your thread topics.

It is absolutely incredible.

Most men would succumb to the hate and either change their posting style or not post at all. But not you. You comeback for more abuse every single day and it never seems to bother you.

I wish I had as thick of skin as you.

To be honest, I actually think it is funny. I take it with a grain of salt, life's too short to worry what people behind a phone or computer thinks about me..

I don't consider myself one the meanboys from the OT but I would like to know one thing Chris.

What all played into your decision to not include the word "watch" in the last sentence?

OCD riddled minds want to know.

Those parents were so naive. It’s really lucky that she was able to snap out of it at all. They fricked up a hundred times along the way but letting her go away to camp instead of suffocating her in protectiveness probably saved her from a miserable existence.

Ok, I took your suggestion and am watching. Just now at the point where the parents are thinking of separting. How these people can be this dumb just baffles me, its to the point where I am extremely annoyed by them.

I tried to not look at it from today's perspective and keep in mind it was the early 70s, but even then.. Waiting 5 days after she went missing to call the police (and I think one reason they said they waited was because they didn't want to upset B's wife).

The thing that got me was how not protective the dad was of his 13 year old daughter.

They fricking let him sleep in her bed 4 or so times per week at one point. I have no sympathy for this family. Sucks for the girl, and glad she snapped out of it.

Will say I do like the BACA thing. Good for those people.
